I am trying to build a simple HTPC/Xbox replacement for my living room from some spare parts I had. At the moment, I've got 8GB of DDR4 RAM on a B450 mainboard. Which brings me to the bottlenecks/problematic parts. The AMD RX550, which seems to be broken or has a MAJOR driver issue. So bad that Windows won't boot when the right driver is installed. And a poor AMD A6-9500 APU which seems to not have a functioning GPU because it doesn't even show the boot logo in a workable resolution. I am on a budget, and I don't really know what is the right action at this point. Get a second-hand GPU like a 1050TI/1060/RX570, which will fix my issues and make it usable with the dual-core when I upgrade my main rig at some point. Or, just get a decent Ryzen APU that can handle the 4K part of my TV and leave the Xbox replacement thing on the table to replace it with a Series X. I know... a lot of consideration in this story, but this is why I joined you guys!
