  1. Hi everyone So today I got my new Fractal Torrent case. The question is about fans. 2x 180mm fans on front and 3x 140mm fans are included on the bottom. No fan is included in the rear of a case. I know this is an airflow case but would adding an additional 140mm fan on the rear make airflow even better than it already is? Would it effect any temperatures? If yes then how much? ALSO, would the vertical mount of GPU improve it's temperatures? Thank you
  2. Hi everyone How can I reset my GPU settings to default? My friend who is "experienced" with PCs was helping me for years with my PC and while cleaning the dust and changing the CPU thermal paste did something to my GPU (in BIOS or smth), either undervolting or setting it to a different power mode (so I can pay less for electricity as he told), I don't quite know what exactly he did or how to fix it, he can't explain what happened either. The image on the screen started lacking colors and contrast was behaving a bit "funny, opening Start Menu caused contrast and brightness animations on desktop.". Reinstalling Windows didnt help. Somehow I managed to stop this from happening, I have no idea how, tried everything, millions of guides on internet. It just stopped. Tried reinstalling GPU drivers, OS reinstall, something must have helped. Though I am not exactly sure if I really fixed it and if I have all that millions of colors displayed correctly. Sometimes it seems like image lacks colors or they aren't as smooth. Is there a way to reset GPU to the default settings to make sure everything is OK?
  3. Okay so I have ordered Fractal Torrent case. Would changing 3x stock 140mm fans on the bottom and 2x 180mm fans on the front to Noctua AF-14 be an improvement in airflow and temperatures?
  4. My current case doesn't have the option of top mounted exhaust. I have ordered Noctua NH D15 and wanted to purchase Fractal torrent case but it seems to be out of stock due to some short circuit issue. Would you advice some alternatives to it? Good quality and excellent airflow?
  5. yes, ATX. I heard top mounted PSUs aren't too good for gaming PCs though...
  6. Hi everyone I am planning to switch my AIO to air cooling and I want to buy a new PC case to have a best possible airflow. Please help me choose. My current CPU cooler is Cooler Master Masterliquid 360 RGB The reason is I want to have a more reliable option and in general I dont want to think about the possibilities of RMA, pump fail, liquid leak on other components while have to leave PC on going outside or going to sleep. Also I don't OC my CPU a lot so I think having an AIO is an unnecessary risk and CPU temperatures are gonna be similar under load. Buying a new cooler is a lot cheaper than RTX 3070 (if AIO leaks on my GPU). I also don't like the idea of hot air from the radiator heating up my components. A performance cooler that will live for a long time without a need to replace it, change liquid etc. I am thinking of Noctua NH D15 as an air cooler. From what I know there is no alternative to NH D15 performance as a CPU air cooler. As for my current PC case it's be quiet! Dark Base 700 which doesn't offer too much airflow. In demanding games like RDR Online I have to remove the front panel to drop temperatures on my GPU, It gives additional 5-7C drop on GPU. The new case I am consiedering to buy is be quiet! Silent Base 802 which seems to be one of the best cases for airflow (mesh front panel and upper panel). Or so I think after reading forums, watching videos etc. Also I want to have 3x 140mm fans on front intake for the best possible airflow. In short, I need the best possible PC case for airflow without AIO radiator heating up the air inside my case. The case which works well with Noctua NH D15 and might give better thermal results than my current build. Please give me some advice.
  7. HI I have had the same issue with my Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360 RGB and thought my pump is duying but it appeared that all my 3 fans were faulty and the noise literally caused a headache after an hour. If AIO's fans are garbage then mounting the radiator (and fans) on intake (front) will cause higher case and GPU temperatures. Either get a decent air cooler or an expensive and quality AIO (a well vented case is recommended as well). Air is safer though. Many people still use their old Noctua coolers and didn't even replace any fans. If air cooler fails you only replace a fan. If pump fails (chances are low but are still there) you might need to replace CPU, MOBO, GPU. AIO might drop CPU temps (only a few degrees C) compared to Noctua NH D15 but is it really worth the risk?
  8. My case only has one place for exhaust on top. Right next to the rear exaust fan, picture with my case attached. So 3x 140mm fans would blow air from the case into the radiator to cool it down, but again I don't know if that would give any positive effect or improve temperatures. 2x 140mm + 1x 120mm fans on intake in the front of the case. 3x 140 mm fans on the radiator. 1x 140 mm fan on the exhaust in rear of case. Would such a setup improve anything?
  9. Hi everyone I currently have Be Quiet! Dark Base 700 case and a CPU cooler Cooler Master Masterliquid 360 RGB AIO with radiator on intake. When playing a game and touching tempered glass side panel it's very hot as well as the temperature inside the case. Also my RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio seems to overheat because all heat from the radiator is pulled inside the case from the front mounted radiator and GPU temperature is higher than supposed to be. My case has an option to mount radiator on exhaust on the front, but then I will need to permanently remove the front panel. The only reasonable solution that I see is switching to a bulky tower air cooler, so CPU heat is pushed directly to the exhaust fan on the back of the case and 3 noctua case fans on front intake to push cool air through the case. Will for example Noctua NH D15 be a better solution for my case and GPU temperature? Also I am a bit afraid of a chance of AIO leak, sometimes I want to go outside or go to sleep and leave PC on and not think of broken GPU, buying a new CPU cooler is a lot cheaper than a new GPU and air cooler has 0% chance of leak. I bought this AIO because I liked the looks and just wanted some RGB elements. Now I don't care about looks, performance, safety and quality come first. Please give me some advice and thank you.
  10. Hello everyone I have decided to buy a holiday gift to my parents - 2 smartphones, 1 for each as they are still using their old 2016 phones which are quite obsolete right now. After some reviews I have stopped on Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite because of a good battery, 6 GB RAM (no need for more as they do not play games), AMOLED screen, a good camera that provides protos of decent quality and a big screen of 6.5 inch. And some good opinions as well. Would you advice anything better for the price of that smartphone? Maybe from your own experience? Up to 500$ per one phone, preferably. Thank you for your advices
  11. Made a decision to order A5X pair of monitors. Thank you for helping me make this decision :)
  12. Yamaha is out of the list then. Now A5X vs Focal Alpha 65. Which one of those would you personally choose if you had to? Besides what are your thoughts on ELAC Debut 2.0 6.2 ? Does it even qualify for a competition against those 2 in terms of "everything"?
  13. Hello everyone I am interested to buy the best possible pair of speakers/studio monitors up to 800$ a pair for PC use only (movies, music). Preferably the most transparent, agile, expressive sound, clear vocal and natual bass for the price of 800$. From the reviews I have narrowed my search to 2 pair of speakers: 1) ELAC Debut 2.0 6.2 budget but good sounding speakers , reviewed by Steve Guttenberg (300 $) 2) ADAM A5X reviewed by Zeos (Studio monitors 800$) Though I am open to suggestions if there is any better option for the price up to 800$ for a pair. Currently I have Enog 2 Pro DAC and Schiit Asgard 3 AMP. What would you advice? Thank you
  14. Hello guys It is less than two weeks until we shall see the new RTX graphics cards (in our PC cases). Time for an upgade and getting ready for new games. The question I want to ask is about upgrading a MOBO for RTX 2080. My current AB350 Gaming 3 motherboard handles RTX 2080, Ryzen 7 2700x and 16 GB 3000 Mhz RAM (that has to run in 3200 but that speed causes BSOD, 3000 Mhz is stable, probably because of MOBO). I am being adviced by my friend to upgrade my B350 MOBO to X570 for improved performance of both RAM, GPU. My friend keeps telling me it's a big upgrade in terms of performance. Would it really be a significant upgrade for 1440p gaming? Or is it better to wait for DDR5 to replace my B350 MOBO?
  15. I am interested in purchasing a pair of speakers in a month or 2 so also thinking of having devices capable of delivering max potential from speakers I choose. I guess in that case speakers are plugged into XLR inputs of DAC...(not really a specialist on that so may be horribly wrong). If speakers cables are plugged into a DAC than I have XLR inputs on my Enog 2 Pro. Pity that Liquid Spark died so quickly for me, it made treble smoother, like you told, music sounded better in general. Without an AMP harsh sounds like lightsabers, shooting, screaming, hissing or whispering hurt ears a bit. About the alternatives to Geshelli and Schiit, what would you advice? Cheaping out probably was not a good idea...Think I'm going to choose one of them but if you know any comparable options, please let me know
  16. Hello everyone I currently have Beyerdynamic DT990 600 ohm headphones and Geshelli Labs Enog 2 Pro DAC which has both balanced and unbalanced inputs. My AMP (Monoprice Liquid Spark) died after 3 months of use so RMA ended with a refund and I need a new AMP. I am thinking about trying balanced AMP to pair with by balanced DAC. Due to some YouTube and Google research Enog 2 Pro DAC paired with Geshelli Labs Erish AMP offer a great quality of sound. I know that balanced DAC and AMP are connected with XLR cables. But how do I connect DAC and AMP to my PC motherboard so I still have balanced sound? PC motherboard doesn't have XLR input. Do I need to buy some other supportive device like Audio Interface??
  17. Hello everyone I have been watching Z Reviews channel on YouTube and am wondering if Massdrop THX\AAA\789 amp would pair well with my Geshelli Labs Enog 2 (balanced) DAC + Beyerdynamic DT990 600 Ohm headphones. The reviewer in one of his reviews says this is the best headphone AMP to buy. Thank you for your answers
  18. Hello everyone I would like to try wireless mouse with an option of using a cable connection, wired for gaming, wireless for resting on sofa and watching youtube without a need to come to PC each time. Could you advice a good and preferably heavy mouse? Thank you for answers
  19. Hi everyone What is the best quality audio mode headphones can offer? Settings allow 32 bit 192000 Hz but is it the best quality for consumer use? Switching these modes and comparing how it sounds during a song I dont really hear any difference
  20. AMP: Liquid Spark DAC: Geshelli Labs Enog 2 Pro How do I know if it works properly if the music is coming from the AMP and turning off the DAC does not turn sound off
  21. Hello everyone Did I connect RCA cables from AMP to DAC (above AMP) correctly? Thank you for answers
  22. I mean the better sound quality
  23. Hello everyone I got SONY MDR XB550 headphones as a gift to use with my smartphone/tablet and outside the house. The sound of these 24 ohm headphones is nice but comparing to Beyerdynamic DT990 600 ohm paired with external DAC and AMP it is hard to enjoy the music. I need something (might be DAC and AMP combo, 2 in one) to make as much magic of 50$ headphones as possible. The question is rather what should I buy to make that magic than if I need to buy anything at all, because I need it. I am sure there is something that exists for such cases. Thank you for your answers and advices.
  24. I have just tried RCA 2X to 3.5 cable from Audioquest (Evergreen). It actually feels different. The sound is a bit more powerful. I dont know, maybe it is only my imagination but I have been using regular RCA for some time and the new cable...The sound is 5% quieter on the same level of volume but it feels more powerful, more full, sound effects like shooting and explosions are even more real and "have shape". The noise is almost gone.
