  1. Hello Is it safe to use standard can of compressed air to clean the dust out of PS5 and Xbox series X and then use a vacuum cleaner to collect flying dust from inside of those consoles? I wouldn't like to break warranty by opening consoles or accidentally break something. Xbox is positioned vertically, PS5 horizontally. Thank you
  2. I have recently purchased both Xbox Series X and PS5 and moved from PC gaming to consoler. On PC it was more convenient to buy digital games. On consoles I prefer inserting a disc each time I play a game and having a collection of my best games on the shelf. Exception is when I can't buy a physical copy.
  3. UPDATE after 3 months: 3 months after buying Xbox Series X I also bought PS5. 2 top consoles together still are cheaper than new GPU. Console gaming feels so much more relaxing than PC gaming. My PC wasn't turned on for over 2 months and will be used for older PC exclusive games if I ever feel nostalgic. If a game supports Dual Sense pad features - buy it on PS5, you will love the experience. If I would have to choose NOW I'd pick PS5 because of exclusives and Dual Sense pad. DO NOT choose a console because of advertised game pass/PS Plus - games may come and go any moment. Xbox still needs to have more exclusives and release their own next gen pad. There is a reason their console is currently cheaper.
  4. Hi everyone I have recently bought Xbox series X, would love an advice on games worth playing. I didn't play any new games since like 2012, except Cyberpunk 2077, GTA 5 and ME: Andromeda, while on PC I have been mainly replaying games I completed many times already. Those are: KOTOR, Gothic 1-3, Mass Effect LE, Andromeda, GTA 4-5+ Online, Fallout 1-NV. On Xbox series X I have purchased GTA 5 next gen update, Cyberpunk 2077 and KOTOR. What good games would you recommend? Something not too short with an impressive story, interesting characters, a lot of dialogues, possible multiple replayability. Newer or older games. Or just something with an immersive gameplay to spend many of evenings. Thank you
  5. Playing on Xbox I sit 3m away from tv. Wireless pad and headphones are just more comfortable. I could use cable extenders but I rather buy something extra and use Beyerdynamic only with PC/AMP/DAC. Price: just about the price of my Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro would be nice.
  6. Hi everyone So yesterday I bought Xbox series X and connected it with my 55' TV. This is my first experience with a gaming console, I have always been using a PC/laptop for gaming. Playing on PC I use Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro headphones, which are wired studio open back over ear headphones, it's not a headset, I don't use mic in online games/ usually play solo. On Xbox website in accessories section I have found 2 nice pair of headphones, one of which I think I should have to play wirelessly at night: 1) Portal Bang & Olufsen Beoplay 2) Xbox Wireless headset Which one of these would you recommend? Did you have an opportunity to listen to both of them and compare them personally? Maybe there is another pair of headphones for Xbox which you consider even a better option? My purpose is to enjoy sound, feel it, not just hear/listen to environment or music. Thank you for your time and answers
  7. Speaking about Xbox game pass ultimate. Do you also have access to DLCs? Or only the base game and DLC have to be purchased to have access to them? For example my gf likes to play SIMS4 most of the time, I just don't see myself paying for all those expansions once again.
  8. Hi I want to buy one of the consoles, either Playstation 5 or Xbox Series X. Currently I can afford only one of them and want to make a good choice without having any regrets later. I have never had a console before and thought it might be a cheaper solution for gaming. Both consoles have game passes. Currently I don't have much time for gaming so I thought I rather buy a console than purchase new GPU, PSU, CPU, RAM, MOBO etc, currently those cost a lot. Besides console gaming allows buying a subscription with unlimited access to games library which seems cheaper than buying games which I don't "own" anyway. How did you choose your console and do you have any regrets choosing it over another options? A few more details: - I have a 1440p 27' monitor which I currently use with my gaming PC. Might be used for console gaming. - 4k HDR tv with SONY sound system, 5.1, Dolby Atmos, SONY Soundbar and SONY subwoofer. Might use for console gaming as well. I don't know if it will be in some way synchronized with SONY Playstation 5. - I prefer wired hardware, including controller. Even if it would be a 5m+ wire. Just don't like charging the battery. The possibility to use keyboard and mouse on console seems great for me as I have always played on keyboard and mouse. -I always ignored any information about console exclusives. No spoilers or YouTube walkthroughs before I have an opportunity to play the game. And I know consoles have some impressive exclusives many people seem to like. Uncharted or The last of us for example. And many more. Thank you for your time and help ----------------------------------- UPD 1 month later: Bought Xbox Series X. Playing with Dolby Atmos, HDR 4k 60 FPS and great graphics, no FPS drops. If there are any minor differences between PC and console graphics I don't notice them, as I am sitting 2.5 - 3 meters from 55' TV, graphics and performance look and feel great. Pad gives some extra possibilities than keyboard (like manually controlling car speed, it feels more like driving a real car ), pad vibrations also offer some incredible immersion, and once you get used to pad after a few days it generally feels very relaxing. The choice is made and I am satisfied with the decision. Thanks everyone who gave me advices
  9. I'd wait till November 3 to see what AMD has to offer. You will not be able to keep constant 144 fps in most of games.
  10. Fractal Torrent case owner here. Can't complain about GPU/CPU temperatures. The last case you'll have. You don't need liquid cooling for this case, air does it's job perfectly.
  11. Hi, PC is for gaming and music only, nothing else. No streaming. No work tasks for a gaming PC, not even Office installed. Just gaming and music. I have a laptop for work purposes and everything else than games and Tidal. But in brief I want it to be the best possible performance upgrade for the least money spent. Want to try ray tracing, especially in Cyberpunk 2077, with my current hardware I'd have to choose between 60 FPS and ray tracing. Can't have both. Country: Poland Budget: hard to say, in general if I had money for top end hardware I wouldn't create a topic like this
  12. Hi everyone Would Radeon Rx6800xt + Ryzen 5600x be a good value to performance improvement for ultra settings 1440p for the next 3-4 years? For Radeon GPU I think I need to buy a Freesync or Adaptive sync monitor. I'd love to have new RTX 4000 GPU but it costs a fortune, so guess cheaper options for me. Or maybe wait till November for new generation Radeon GPU? RTX2080 Gaming X Trio Ryzen 7 2700x 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz RAM MOBO: Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 1440p 144hz Gsync only monitor Noctua NH-D15S cooling Fractal Design Torrent PC case BeQuiet 700W PSU I think Radeon might be a more reasonable option right now, considering GPU prices and lower power draw but then the new monitor cost... Thank you
  13. Hi everyone So with all those new CPU, GPU and RAM launches I am thinking if I should upgrade my old 3 year old 1440p build now or wait for discounts later. My current build: Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 MOBO RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio Ryzen 7 2700x Gskill Flare X 3200 mhz CL14 16 GB RAM 1440p Gsync monitor I built it in early 2019 for 1440p gaming, prices weren't that crazy back then, now might consider budget options for upgrade (if they bring high performance boost for reasonable prices). I mean paying more than a 1000$ for minimal 5-10 FPS or barely noticeable performance changes isn't smart. Also considering current prices I started to think about switching to console gaming, without the need to upgrade anything, games cost the same. What would you upgrade or do? Or would you stick with this build for now and wait for discounts in the future?
  14. Hi everyone In 2019 I built my first gaming PC, nothing was upgraded since then. RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio Ryzen 2700x 16 GB RAM DDR4 3200 Mhz 2560x1440 monitor Gsync I didn't upgrade GPU to RTX 3000 series because of prices situation and the availability of those GPUs, now the announced RTX 4000 series launch prices are even higher. Do you think switching to Radeon GPUs would be a smart idea? Radeon cards seem to offer the same performance and cost less. P.S. I didn't use Ray tracing on my RTX 2080, with 1440p it's either good fps or cute shadows and reflections. Or would it be better to keep my old RTX 2080 for now? I'm starting to think console isn't such a bad idea, just prefer mouse and keyboard to pad
  15. If you have money for Fractal Torrent - take it, there is currently no better airflow case on the market. I have it since it's release, didn't even have to check any thermals. Looks better than most of the fancy RGB cases. Air cooling does a fantastic job. If you buy it, don't change or add any fans, the fabric fans are designed to offer the best possible performance with THIS case. Rear fan isn't needed.
  16. Hi everyone Is it wise to upgrade Ryzen 7 2700x CPU to either 12700k or 5800x? Would this give any significant effect on FPS in 1440p gaming? What about a bottleneck in such an upgrade? Does my current CPU use all RTX2080 power or not? My current build: RTX 2080 gaming x trio DDR4 16 GB RAM 3200 mhz Mobo: AB350 gaming 3 This is currently my first PC, built in early 2019, hardware wasn't upgraded yet. Didn't upgrade my GPU for obvious reasons. MOBO was the cheapest solution for this build, there was no reason to buy anything more expensive. Thank you
  17. Of those I would take Silent Base 802. Noctua coolers like a good airflow and Silent Base 802 would be perfect for it. They are all relatively quiet. I was planning to purchase BeQuiet 802 but after reviews chose Fractal Design Torrent instead. With the good airflow temperatures are lower = fans don't go crazy. Supposed to be loud case runs quieter than BeQuiet Dark Base 700 which was supposed to be a quiet case and ran hotter so fans were louder.
  18. Maybe those fans are too close to each other and this causing vibrations?
  19. I didn't try any other fan yet. Also as far as I know those fans cost half the price of the case. I don't even want the fans to be silent, just a good airflow, that's why I chose this case. The problem is a whining noise, it's recorded on video. I just hope it's about the spreading lubricant but honestly I don't know how much time it has to spread for the noise to disappear
  20. 140mm fan on the bottom. I checked and blades aren't touching anything.
  21. Hi everyone I have started using a new Fractal Design Torrent case and after a few hours fans started to produce an annoying whining noise. I have recorded this noise on video. I have contacted Fractal Design support, they say this noise is normal because lubricant needs to spread but I am concerned if this noise is ever going to go away. This is my first Fractal Design case. P.S. one of case fans is a source of a noise. My RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio fans weren't spinning when I was recording a video and my Noctua NH D15 is quiet. Also if someone else has this case did you have the same issue? Did the noise eventually go away? Thank you
  22. Hi everyone What is currently the best 140mm airflow rear exhaust case fan? Preferably from Noctua, no RGB. Black color would be perfect to match black case and all black PC parts and peripherals. I was considering Noctua AF-14 PWM. But open to suggestions if you know any better fans than this one. Thank you
  23. No, this case didn't include a rear exhaust fan
  24. Hi everyone So I switched my old BeQuiet Dark Base 700 to new Fractal Design Torrent case, designed for maximum airflow. Also I am switching a cheap 360mm AIO to Noctua NH D15. My new case has 2 big 180mm fans on front (intake) and 3x 140mm fans on bottom (intake). Do I need a rear exhaust fan if I have Noctua NH D15 CPU cooler, which already has 2 fans? Will it have any positive effect on the airflow, or will it influence the temperatures inside the case?
  25. Hi everyone So a few days ago I started hearing some electric high frequency sound coming from my PC. Firstly thought my AIO pump was failing but after listening a bit more it seems that GPU causes the noise. Increasing fans speed also increases the electric noise. It started 2 weeks after my GPU warranty expired. I googled a bit and it seems that a crappy PSU might cause this. Some people say that replacing a PSU with a more quality one can fix this. Honestly, this buzzing noise causes a headache and is getting on my nerves. If a game is opened - coil whine noise can be heard. ALT+TAB and its very quiet, almost unnoticeable. My current GPU is RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio PSU is BeQuiet Pure Power 11 cm 700W Is this caused by a GPU or a PSU?
