  1. Well RIP dreams I guess. I will try and use it as I've disassembled it now... I guess it's just retraction that fucks it up and surely if you have a filament guide within the bowden extruder it should be fine ?
  2. I would use it but I'm converting to a bowden setup because I want to print faster and I'm just hitting a speed wall atm, ringing galore with the speeds that I'm trying. I could mess around with jerk and whatnot but I thought I might as well just get a bowden setup going, it's only cost me about £0.50 for the hotend ( I had a coupon on aliexpress) and then the PC-04 fitting will probably end up costing more than the e3d v5 clone that I bought...
  3. Yeah I know but it's more the material that I'm on about and the projects that you end up doing... To be honest it's the electronics that end up costing more than the printed parts. It's just not that cheap when you start messing around with different filaments like TPU and PETG's
  4. You've got the newer model :), my Z axis' which holds the Y axis stepper is a 3d printed part not an injection moulded part. https://photos.app.goo.gl/mpi9RJiNDvfDi5B02 I love that googly eye in the second image! haha. I wouldn't really call mine an a8 at this point with all the electronics being different:
  5. well it sort of is a trap... traps your wallet and holds it at ransom.
  6. waiting on parts for my bowden setup so I decided to turn my printer into a well printer... You just turn off your nozzle and bed and then enabled Z-hop on retraction moves and you're golden. Took about 5 mins to do it, most of that time was wrapping the pen in the mount that I made. (if you have an anet a8 and you want to try out my mount you can find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2456080 it's my first design for one so be weary it hasn't been through through testing yet.
  7. I'm stuck! I feel like throwing my printer at the wall... I can't get my printer to start at 0,0. I have an offset applied with M206 X-14 Y-20 Z0; when I do G1 X0 F1000; and G1 Y0 F1000; the print head goes to the corner of my bed, however whenever I use simplify3d and slice an object, I just quickly made a 20x20 mm calibration cube in fusion and then stuck it at 0,0 as you see here: https://gyazo.com/f0a69dbd69bfaf08bbb1c5fcebbbaae2 However, when I go to slice my object, simplify 3D decides that it wants to start with a 43mm X offset. https://gyazo.com/c73c8da99cc2e53523ff2cf21152d726 Does anyone know how I can fix this. I would double check the marlin configuration files but I've somehow managed to misplace them, is there a way to get the pre-complied code back once the firmware is on the MEGA board? Thanks.
  8. probably a driver issue I'd try ddu and the latest drivers .
  9. Creality CR-10, look at RC lifes review and many others it's pretty good electronics wise and print quality is meant to be great. Before long you'll be designing your own printer, I want to build a hyper cube but don't have the money right now. he's also doing a contest if you want you can enter it here: https://gleam.io/CrVQB/3d-printers-giveaway

I was just wondering if it was possible to have a taskbar which is volatile basically create a new desktop if you want to you could save that order actually I think I might have an idea, need paint 1 sec. discovered that I could do the same with a load of programs opened: https://gyazo.com/12ea222e6d12249ef31b3a7a2bf36e8fbut the arrow at the far right basically switching the order of the programs.
  11. Basically I like to use windows key + numbers to launch programs on the taskbar, I was just wondering if it's possible to make a new desktop in windows and then have different things on the taskbar or in a different order?
  12. I'm sure it's just that english isn't their first language. I can mostly understand what people are trying to say however, I haven't really been on the forum that much recently so I wouldn't really know too much about the topic. Think of it as some peoples way of becoming fluent in a language, maybe just try and be helpful if they use the wrong your/you're or their/they're for example just mention it but don't make it the main topic and try and shoot them down if you understand what I'm trying to say. I wish I could do the same with German which I'm trying to learn at the moment but I would be scared to even try it at all without sounding like an idiot. Half the time forums that I want to participate in are in english anyways.
  13. On topic, my grammar isn't excellent but I do try most of the time to get it at least somewhat correct. Who needs good grammar when you use maths and design shit all day. My mum is my grammar checker haha. (I don't mean she checks every post I do on here, things like CV's and whatnot she's my go to)
  14. Not everyone can like the same things. I'm not triggered, I'm super triggered.
  15. Sorry Chloe I can't reach you. I never will. I have dreams. Those dreams just wont happen.
  16. Your Over Reactting I Canot Beleive you Would do Such a thing. to a human bean. Its grammer by the way
  17. I use push to talk with my logitech webcam seems to do alright in CS and PUBG. I have push to talk bound to a button on my mouse so it's quite easy to use,.
  18. arduino, mosfets, 220ohm resistors and then a molex power for the 12V. Not sure how you'd hook it up for the software. gate goes to the arduino with the 220ohm resistor connected, drain goes to the LED strip and the source goes to ground. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj4v_z935jVAhUJNhoKHbnrCtcQjRwIBw&url=https%3A%2F%2Flearn.adafruit.com%2Frgb-led-strips%2Fusage&psig=AFQjCNEWL3Yw49bG0Pj0IAFQj8nd-LsPIw&ust=1500670658888512

Does anyone know why one of my monitors would s…

I've used DDU before and this time it's having issues I've tried downloading geforce experience again and installing drivers that way and I've tried installing drivers directly from nvidias website neither seem to be working properly. I might try disconnecting my GPU and reconnecting it see if that works.
  21. I think it's a driver issue, I can't seem to update my drivers so... god knows. I'll try those though thanks

I'm going to try and install the latest driver hopefully it'll work otherwise I'll be a little cheesed off.
  23. Does anyone know why one of my monitors would suddenly stop working? I have one connected with a DVI cable and one with a DP toHDMI cable, I plug in one at a time and both work but if I plug them both in the one connected with the DP to HDMI cable only works ? This happened after playing PUBG, the game crashed my main monitor the one that's connected with the DP to HDMI cable went into 4:3 mode for some reason and the other monitor didn't do anything.

If you have an NVIDIA GPU then using DDU and completely reinstalling drivers should work- as I've had this issue before.
