This is what I mean.... it's strange! It seems like not much to ask for, especially in a world now there everything is heading towards USB C and no one has thought about compatibility with older machines. For instance, USB C workstations are becoming more and more common, and charging cables are ditching USB A for USB C (and rightly so) but the question is how do people with older laptops connect!

Not quite the solution I am looking for. I am ideally looking for an adapter for with a female USB C port and a male mini displayport end? Does this type of thing not exist?

Hi, this is my first post so hopefully I'm doing this right! I have the last of the MacBook Pro's before they got rid of all the ports and added just USB C. This was great at first because I could still connect to everything whilst others had dongles.... however now times have changed! A lot of things are now natively USB C (including the workstations at my work) and I now find myself unable to connect to a lot of things. I have tried looking for dongles and adapters that turn USB C connections into other things such as mini displayport, but they don't seem to! Everything seems to be turning USB C into something else! Can anyone help please!
