  1. I got a line on a 3700x, guy opened the box to check it out but then ended up buying a 3900x instead. CPU is unused and has original cooler, box is just open. Wants $200 for it....I've never bought a second hand CPU but its seems like a pretty decent deal if it looks on the up and up in person. Thoughts?
  2. I found a 3600 kit with the same latency for $2.00 more.
  3. Nice build. I'm not familiar with the Silicon Power. I take a look.
  4. Thanks! By the way, how you liking the Acer XB280HK?
  5. Hmm. So having not kept up with the scene for several years....what would that type of upgrade net me in the long run? I'm all for it if there is an advantage to it. I get its faster, but is it that much of a difference. Or is it better in terms of the long term since I plan to move up to 1440 down the road.
  6. Currently have an i5 4690k, with 8gig of Ram (DDR3), r290x (4gb), Asus z97a motherboard, and a basic SSD/HD setup with Win 7. Been playing Assassins Creed Odyssey, Battlefield V, Borderlands 3, World of Warcraft, Division 2, Witcher 3...looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. I built this one, shoot, probably 5-6 years ago. I'm looking to start a new build as my rig has slowly started to slide into the barely meets specs category. I'm going to keep my current monitor for now I think, Asus vg248, and build a new rig so I can play 1080p at max settings but with a simple monitor swap I can be in the 1440 scene. Possibly some VR later on too. Here is what I came up with, forgive me in advance, its been 5-6 years since I've really looked into this stuff. But please be brutally honest. Trying to keep it around $1000 but lower is always better. **Changed to 3600 RAM - only $2.00 more!** PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $194.79 @ OutletPC Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard $114.99 @ Amazon Memory G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $84.99 @ Amazon Storage Crucial P1 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $66.85 @ OutletPC Storage Seagate Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $64.89 @ OutletPC Video Card Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 8 GB PULSE Video Card $359.99 @ Newegg Case Phanteks Eclipse P400S ATX Mid Tower Case $78.98 @ Amazon Power Supply Corsair TXM Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply $79.99 @ Newegg Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $1065.47 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $1045.47 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-10-26 11:15 EDT-0400
