  1. Hello, so I'm curious if I can get a 2080 Ti blower graphics card at a cheap price what will I need to know about the card in order to swap the cooler to a 2 or 3 fan design. I've read a lot of people talking about making sure it's a reference pcb. Using this website: https://www.overclock.net/threads/official-nvidia-rtx-2080-ti-owners-club.1706276/ I can see the ASUS Turbo is a reference pcb, therefore, does this mean I can replace the ASUS Turbo cooler with another cooler that is used on a reference pcb like the EVGA XC? Thanks,
  2. I don’t think the PSU will have damaged any of the components but better safe to check. Does anyone know how to check if a component has been affected by the PSU?
  3. I have contacted Amazon and have ordered a replacement since I bought it couple weeks ago. Thanks for all your advise
  4. Unfortunately they are both ‘on’ switches as neither of them turn the psi off
  5. Would it be dangerous to power it on again?
  6. So the O/I switch on the PSU apparently is irrelevant as my PC turns on when either one is turned. I have no clue why that is so any help would be much appreciated. system: SF600 corsair PSU SG13 case 1070 11400f Picture shows PSU on O position (off) and lights and pc is on
  7. Thanks for your reply, I want to learn more about networking, I am finding it overwhelming with the terminology that I read everyone is using. Where is the best place to start?
  8. Im 18 and I enjoy learning about computers, I built my first PC around 3 years ago and I am trying to keep up with computing. I know it is not possible to understand all areas of computer science, so I want to get an understanding of which fields ie. networking, data science, AI... will have the biggest influence and which to learn? I am trying to learn python as I think it would be a skill that helps in the future and lay a foundation to better understanding computers.
  9. I think 6tb will be enough and then I presume add another 6tb for redundancy for a total of around 12tb. My mum was considering buying a ring subscription but I thought that It would be wiser to have a NAS. I dont have a cctv program, in fact I dont have any cameras, I am really just researching. If I buy a synology NAS what type of cameras am I looking to buy? Should they be wireless or wired for security? Im pretty new to all this.
  10. I want to have a NAS to use it for CCTV and file storage like photos and backups. I initially wanted a synology NAS but it is quite expensive and I could make a small PC with more powerful components, this will then run Freenas. I dont understand networking much and I feel that Freenas requires a lot of knowledge to use. What are the differences of Freenas and synology like and which is better for CCTV?
  11. 14. So I currently have a i7 8700k GTX 1070Ti and 32GB RAM. I use hitfilm as my video editor and I really like the UI. Hitfilm does not look like it is well optimized for my GPU and now it is struggling in playback. I don’t know what to do. Should I go to a new video editor?
