  1. you could get air trapped which can cause higher temps get some alcohol wipes, then repaste it. Just put a pea size in the middle of the CPU, it is not difficult
  2. Would it be worth going to AM5 or is it still in it's early stages ? I hear there are some issues with AM5 at the moment
  3. So I'll only notice a difference in the " cpu intensive games" then I game in 1440p B450 MSI Tomahawk Max Thing is I will probably upgrade the GPU next year at some point, definitely when nvidias 5x series is out, and I like to future-proof and not have to keep changing parts, so would it make more sense to get the 5800X3D ? Also here it shows the 5800X3D outperforms the 5700x every time.. also runs cooler. https://tech4gamers.com/ryzen-7-5700x-vs-ryzen-7-5800x3d/ I see the 5800X3D costs nearly twice as much as the 5700X
  4. Thanks for the info guys. I have a B450 mobo, RM750x PSU and Kraken 360mm elite aio cooling I tend to play lots of Counterstrike, Valorant, GTA 5, Forza 8 when it comes out and will be redoing cyberpunk when phantom liberty comes out.
  5. 5 fans is a silly idea. 3 Is supposed to be the most you'd put on a header. If you are struggling for fan headers then buy a fan hub which sits behind the pc
  6. Is it a worthwhile upgrade for gaming ? Currently have a 3600 CPU ... and a 3060TI FE GPU
  7. Thanks guys. In regards to upgrading the CPU at this point I don't think thats a great a idea because I can game in 1440p at high settings no issues.. Plus isn't the next generation of Ryzen coming out soon too ?? For the AIO I did think of an idea, get a 360, remove the rear exhaust fan and have the pipes toward the left of the case so they don't get in the way of the side fans on the right
  8. Yeah Corsair do with their Node Core ( can connect upto 6 RGB fans to it ).. however they only work with corsair fans
  9. @WereCat What size are the case fans on the side, they look smaller than 120mm
  10. Currently run 240 KZXT -- temps are great on the 3600... Idle is about 37c and full load on cinebench 70c maximum ( and thats with all the fans turned down ) Considering upgrading my AIO to one with a fancier screen so I can see my temps easily and for better cable management. I am siding with a 240mm because a 360mm would mean pipes obstruct the front of my side/front fans AND an extra fan on the top right would mean blocking some of the fan on the top right of my picture So for performance 360 is better, but for aesthetics I am sure another 240 would be the safest bet? Also in regards for futureproofing what would you recommend ? Any ideas ? Thanks
  11. Are you using display port or HDMI?
  12. You have M and C buttons on the side of the case, just tap them and it will power off.
  13. I'll buy a corsair one and try that After some reading, it appears the " USB Passthrough " on the Commander Pro malfunctions with some motherboards
  14. That should work fine as the hubs must be working because the fans are lit up with RGB. What I will try is a 4 way adapter and plug the hubs in one of them instead.
  15. No. On mine there is one at the top and one at the bottom
  16. Does this have something to do with it ?
  17. Got two lighting node cores connected to a commander pro. Commander pro plugged into the internal mobo USB header at the bottom.. In iCUE it detects the commander pro but it won't detect the lighting node cores, meaning I cannot control the RGBS.... it just stays on rainbow setting Any ideas ?
  18. OK thanks guys. For now anyway the plan is... Keep the DC fans connected to the motherboard for power. Buy three newer PWM fans, and hook them up to the commander pro and take it from there
  19. Yeah I have SP120 Pros currently and heard it is not a good idea to use splitters into a commander as they are 3pin DC fans. So looks like I will have to get the newer SP120 Elites which are PWM 4 pin and use splitters.
  20. Which do you guys recommend ? I'd like 9 x 120mm RGB fans ideally with a seperate hub to store behind my case so they don't have to plug into the mobo thanks
  21. Just wanted to say thanks. Got the build done and really happy with the new case. Will need to get some fans to fill it out but its a work in progress.
  22. What problem did you have with it ?
  23. Thanks for the useful info guys. Looks like I should go with the EVO then as it provides much more flexibility. According to my UK supplier the EVO definitely supports 140mm case fans wheras the standard 011 does not.. STANDARD EVO Version
  24. Can't decide whether to get the standard 011 or the EVO version. EVO has the option for rear exhaust fan and I heard the EVO has better cable management. Also I'm uncertain as to whether the standard O11 can run two 140mm fans at the bottom as this diagram I found says it can only run 3x120s.. Does the Lian Li 011/EVO support a 240mm rad at the top of the case ? All the specs I have seen only mention 360mms Thanks
