  1. I've had two Razer naga's (don't judge me). I don't believe either were 2014 editions, so I can't give a comparison. But I will say they are the most satisfying "side buttons" on a mouse i've ever used. Gonna look up and report back to see what switches both the newer naga's and this mouse use for their side buttons. Alright did some snooping and it looks like the razer naga has little blue mechanical switches. http://www.overclock.net/t/1414182/naga-2014/40#post_20589849 All of the articles I read about the Scimitar indicated it had some sort of mechanical switch but not what kind they were until I watched Slick's video on Corsair's Pax booth. He said they were a Panasonic mechanical switch. Oh and i'm just refering to the side buttons...
  2. Does anyone else see S3? Looks like my old S3.
  3. I just got back from PAX Prime in Seattle last weekend. Was touring the Corsair booth and saw this puppy. So far everyones either talking about the look, or the optical sensor. The BIGGEST difference I noticed was the side buttons build quality. Holy crap I felt like I was pressing itty bitty mechanical switches. I used to use a Razer Naga when they were the first with that mmo style layout. Buttons were mushy, far apart and felt of plastic. The Scimitar was far far better. Each key felt solid, spaced correctly and most importantly dat click. much satisfaction very quality. wow.
  4. So random. Reminds me of those 'ultra premium' car branded phones. Your posts are always so lovely. Not.
  5. I work at Sears... It's real real bad. They are about to close another 110 stores. More to follow. Rip poorly ran company.
  6. I have the Tiamat 7.1 and I regret buying them everyday. 7.1 sounds great on paper but the software is poor and if you listen to ANY kind of music turning 7.1 on completely ruins it. Even with the software turned off the headset is subpar especially for that price. ATH-m50's, Sennheiser 598's, or akg k240 are all fantantastic paired with a mic (I use that 10 dollar zalman mic, works awesome) If you want a gaming headset with it all built in, then easily the hyper x. There's a reason why its all over the sub forum.
  7. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting your set up to look as good as it opperates man! A lot of people are recommending the Hyper X cloud, which I definitely agree is a better choice not only for value but for quality. The problem is I don't believe this headset will work with consoles at all, and it also isn't wireless. I've thrown my a50's against the wall and those suckers are still working great, the wireless connectivity isn't having any problems either. I will point out the battery life has weakened, only holding a charge for 4-5 hours of use instead of 8-9 but thats too be expected from a near 2 year old daily driver. I believe the mixamp that comes with the a50's has the ability to adjust game sound and chat volume seperately, and the headset itself has a few profiles you can toggle to for music/game/chat use as well. Now if you are running your pc and console through a mixamp already and plan to plug your headset into that mixamp, I wouldn't recommend using the a50's. There are much better priced headsets, even wireless ones that will work just as well like the hyper x's I mentioned earlier. But honestly i've been out of the console game for a fairly long time, back during my 360 games I don't think you could run your sound/mic through a mixamp into the console... /rant
  8. My brother has the a40's and I have the a50's. Not gonna lie, they sound nearly identical. My brothers feel a little stiffer and less comfortable however. He wears his as much as I wear mine so I don't think it has to do with them being "worn in", feels more like build quality is a little higher on the a50's. Now having said that, wireless headphones is... AMAZING. I bought the a50's only because I had the extra money at the time, I never knew how much I loved having a wireless set of headphones. Its to the point that I miss wearing them when wearing my Sennheisers. So my recommendation is grab the a40's unless you want the wireless present in the a50's.
  9. I'm an android guy, but I can already see several of my friends trading their androids in for iPhone):
  10. Ahh yea my minecraft is going to get even more framerates!
  11. Gorgeous device, but still way to expensive for a netbook. Their profit margins must be ridiculous on that thing.
  12. Not my cup of tea, but let's be realistic. You could run league on a god damn tablet. I'm sure this box wouldn't have any issues. And as OP stated, that's all he wants it for.
  13. I've used a LOT of mice over the past 3-4 years or so. Couple months ago I decided to try the Roccat Lua. I have large hands, but prefer a smaller lighter mouse for fingertip gripping. Absolutely love it so far, optical sensor so theres no acceleration as well. Not only that but its a fairly clean jet black look with a pulsating Roccat logo. Not crazy flashy.
  14. Hmm. I want to not like it, but can't. I prefer the smaller keyboards, and the red backplate actually looks kind of nice. Too bad I have the k70 RGB already ;]
