  1. The reason im not getting an air cooler is that im going to be transporting this rig alot.. and if i get, lets say, the nh d14/15 im going to have a problem with the large heatsink.. motherboards are strong and all, but after a while a large heatsink wont be good on my motherboard. thats why i want to get a cpu water cooler.
  2. Hi, Im buying a new pc soon, and I was wondering what cpu cooler you guys suggest. I've heard the corsair hydro series have alot of problems with software and installation.. Im ordering a 4670k, and am going to overclock, i dont have room for a 140mm or 240mm dual fan setup in the case im going with. Thanks in advance! I use this website for buying my components: www.azerty.nl I live in the Netherlands and my currency is euro's. Thanks!
  3. Hi again, Ive been searching around a bit and found 3 options: http://www.overclock.net/t/1422953/official-msi-gtx-780-lightning-owners-club/1670 This seems to be the best one, but I cannot find what it is, do you have any experience with these or do you know anyone who might know what this is? The other 2 options arent really that great for transport since those are only support beams, not attached to the case or anything. EDIT: Ive found what this is, it comes with the CM 690 II case!
  4. I sure would be happy as **** if im able to find one of those here in europe, thanks again for bringing this up! You made my day
  5. I hope I can find one for the Cooler Master Storm Scout 2 Advanced case with an Msi n780 gpu, making one myself would be an option, but id rather buy one knowing its good haha, im like tim taylor when it comes to making things..
  6. Ive never heard of supporting brackets for the gpu?! Do they excist? haha, That would be the perfect solution =) Thanks for the help!
  7. But do I really need to go with one, thats really my question.. As long as im moving the midi tower, regular atx pc on its side, so with gravity pushing the gpu and cpu heatsink down onto the mobo, I should be perfectly fine right? I dont care for the weight, again, if I did I wouldve bought a laptop
  8. I dont mind carrying around the weight, if I did I wouldve bought a laptop haha, its just that my friend says a regular atx build will break pretty fast when you move it. Only thing that bothered me is that if what he says is true im wondering why midi tower cases are still made with handles.
  9. Hello Everyone! Im going to build my first pc, and had an important question: Since I will be moving this system almost every weekend, a friend recommended going for a mini ITX build.. I was wondering if a regular midi tower build is really that fragile? I dont really like the mini ITX builds, because I like big and over the top looks to the case.. Please help me! Advice/tips are more than welcome! Thanks in advance
  10. what if i spent it on a 290x lightning or a 780ti? or is that going to be too much of an overkill? and will the rest of the system even be able to handle the temperatures?
  11. Youre probably busy with other people, but would you mind making another list but this time with my full budget. 1200 euros for the machine only, peripherals not being included in this budget or list. That would be awesome
  12. What type of memory do you suggest? you forgot to put those on the list. Corsair vengeance dual channel 8gb?
  13. You shouldnt! I thought some parts had to be changed out because im going to move the system alot. But if thats not the case, there is no reason to suggest another list One more question before ill dive back into the linustechtips videos, how long will this system be good (multiplayer games med-high with 60fps) for? 1 year? 2 maybe? im soon going to college and I dont think ill be able to spend this much money on a pc again for the following years! Again thanks for all your help, and is there anyway i could help you getting high up on the forums?
  14. Cool, theres just a few things i hadnt mentioned yet. My parents are divorced so I switch between the houses alot, thats why I chose that particular case with the handle. Also i heard a cpu watercooler is less likely to break when being moved than an air cooler. Also, im more of a nvidia guy and i love MSI from what ive read and played on.. This will be my first build but i did own several laptops which made me dislike amd =(, now i know laptops =/= desktops but it did make me somewhat carefull whenever i encounter amd products. Maybe you could do another list? that would be awesome! Keep up the great work helping out other people! Can I recommend/flag you for being really helpful somewhere on the website?
  15. Yes, but those are excluded from the 1200 euro budget and alrdy chosen
