    And this is where im having problems the asus website only has bios for I7's with my mobo and no bios for xeons

    I have an Asus x58 rampage 2 extreme motherboard with a xeon w5580 and 24 gb of ram that I bought off of Facebook. And I wanted to upgraded to the xeon x5660 cpu so i bought one. And when I got it and in installed it my computer it would turn and all the fans would spin the the computer wouldn't bot.

    how would I go on upgrading from a xeon w5580 to xeon x5660 with my asus x58 rampage 2 extreme. I put the cpu and it wont bot but the fans will turn on?

    I'm having the same problem but I already have a xeon w5580 in my asus x58 rampage 2 extreme and when I put in the xeon x5660 it wont bot but all the fans turn on im only changing cpus.
