    Honestly I don't really have a reason. Are these incompatibilities not given with Z390?

    Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my Desktop soon, meaning new mb, CPU, cooler and RAM. I'll probably go with the ASUS Prime Z370-A II for mb and the i7-9700k for CPU. Since the mb doesn't support the CPU without BIOS update I will need a separate CPU just for updating. I'm trying to not have to spend another 120€ for an i3-8xxx.. I read about AMD sending old Ryzen CPUs to those that have a new one for updating. Is there such a offer for Intel too? What do you guys recommend? Thanks in advance Ian
