Hey folks,
I'm having a real hard time with this. My system currently uses an Intel 760p 256GB NVME drive as the boot. I purchased a 1TB Inland Premium SSD that I would like to use as the new boot drive and I cannot for the life of me get it to clone.
Here's what I've tried:
- EaseUS
RESULT: Clone success! After ASUS post screen I get the Windows logo, loading dots, then BSOD "Inaccessible Boot Drive"
- AOMEI
RESULT: Wouldn't let me use it without paying, uninstalled it.
- Partition Wizard
RESULT: Fake "free" software, have to pay for it to clone. Uninstalled it.
- Clonezilla
RESULT: After ASUS post screen I get the Windows logo, loading dots, then BSOD "Inaccessible Boot Drive"
- Fresh install via ISO
RESULT: works fine, but I'm starting over which is a bummer.
- Using the internet to find answers
Note 1: While I was in EaseUS I noticed that the Intel drive is formatted as a MBR with only one reserved system partition.
Note 2: When doing the fresh install on the Inland drive, it would add a couple smaller partitions to the drive before I could install windows on it and I think it formatted as a GPT.
Note 3: It's likely that I'm retarded and doing something wrong.
I truly tried as much as possible before coming here and making this novice post, but what am I doing wrong? ifeelbadman. I would appreciate any help!
Best,
Kleetz
