  1. yeah default is 1000 hz but i've tried all polling rates available for my mouse and it doesn't seem to make a difference.
  2. VERY unlikely. My previous mice didn't have this problem before, now they all do. As stated before i've tried every usb port on my computer, including the one my keyboard is connected to. This issue is only with mice. I just tried changing my DPI and that doesn't seem to make a difference either. I also just reinstalled my usb drivers, reinstalled mouse drivers, and updated to the latest nvidia driver. it miiight be a little better? (possibly placebo) but it still occurs.
  3. I'm hesitant to say it's a cable issue considering the issue persists when i plug in a different mouse. The disconnect issue wasn't always a problem, so i'm definitely going to try messing with my other drivers now that you mention it.
  4. I've tried every port on the back of my computer, and even the ones on the front. No difference.
  5. Pretty much as the title says: For some reason if i move my mouse quickly (doesn't matter if it's in or out of game, though it's most noticeable in game because i play on low sensitivities) it will sporadically disconnect for a few seconds, playing the windows default disconnection noise (the same noise it makes when you disconnect a flash drive). It will do this only when i move my mouse fast, but not every time i move my mouse fast. I'm convinced it's a driver issue because it works fine otherwise, but i've gone through and disabled/enabled all my mouse drivers as well as "reinstalling" them and nothing seems to solve the issue. It's rather infuriating to play an FPS and suddenly not be able to aim for 2-5 seconds. I plan on doing a clean install of my OS in the near future (I need to do this anyway) but In the meantime i'm open for suggestions if someone thinks they might know how to fix this. P.S. I've tried plugging in my Corsair M65 and the issue persists with that mouse as well. So i'm hesitant to say it's an issue with the Zowie FK2.
  6. That's one of Corsair's midrange PSU's, but it's certainly better than a no-name PSU from a pre-built computer.
  7. Did you get a chance to test the card before watercooling it? Was it crashing before? It's possible that you just have a bad card. At this point you might as well try reapplying the paste/pads on your GPU just to make sure you don't have a random Vrm getting too hot or something.
  8. I haven't tried their over ear stuff, but i've had good luck with monoprice's "enhanced bass" earbuds. I mention this because there isn't a whole lot of standout headphones in that price range whereas there's some solid choices for earbuds... but that's just my 2 cents on the subject. The cheapest headphones i'd "recommend" are Audiotechnica ATH M50's. any cheaper than that and i usually say just buy whatever is the most comfortable or has the features you want. if you don't care about features or comfort, just look into earbuds. That's always how I looked at it, but i'm curious to hear what other people have to say because it's not very often i look at headphones in that price range so maybe i'm missing some cheap good ones.
  9. it doesn't really make sense to get two 144hz monitors IMO since i assume you will only be using one for gaming and the other for miscellaneous tasks.
  10. the 970 EVO from Samsung should work fine. I'm running one myself, and several of my friends also have a 970 EVO.
  11. There's beginning to become more and more wireless "gaming" mice these days, that i think Latency with some of them isn't as much of a big deal as it used to be. If you are looking for heavier gaming mice, I suggest looking at some of the ones that Corsair has to offer. I used to use a Corsair M65 RBG and it was a great mouse with really solid build quality all around. The only reason i ended up switching to something else was because I was looking for something lighter/more flickable (I play at a really low sensitivity)
  12. All of the (2) cars i've owned have been manual. I know eventually i'll have to join the hoard and get an autotragic, but I always plan to have a "weekend" car that's manual.
  13. I have an entry level Monoprice tablet that i've tested and it works with Photoshop, Illustrator, Inkscape, and Gimp. From what i've heard drivers on all tablets are always fussy, even to this day MS doesn't have super great compatibility (just search "pressure sensitivity problem graphics tablet" and see how many people have issues getting that to work). I can't guarantee compatibility, but once again the safe choice (at least in terms of customer support) is probably Wacom.
  14. I ponder making the switch every day, just because I hate how invasive W10 is with all the spying, not to mention the obtrusive automatic updates... However, i think it's still a bit less work to lock down W10 than it is to have to fuss with switching and getting everything working on Linux. At least IMO.
  15. I can't say i've tried drawing on a surface, but their screens seem pretty good. That's a big investment though for just a non-professional use tablet, unless you plan on using it for it's intended purpose as a laptop as well. If it's just for your desktop then the standard pick is a tablet from Wacom (such as the Wacom Intuos). I suppose it's also worth mentioning that Monoprice also has a line of tablets that seem to work pretty well. both can be acquired for >$100 vs. a Microsoft Surface which will probably run you around $1000 new.
