  1. So I saw a while back that evga released a BP line of power supplies, I'm building an office PC and was wondering if anyone had even the faintest idea of what the build quality is? the only advantage I can see over the BR at the same price is that it advertises a HDB fan vs sleeve bearing fan and takes up less space. (Not really needed but still)
  2. okay, thanks! I'm aware they don't but I just mean because of warranty and Customer service, gigabyte isn't exactly the best
  3. Would you recommend the P650B for $65 USD then? other options are the EVGA BQ, BR, corsair CV >650W, thermaltake smart bx1, and seasonic S12III. I'm just iffy on it since it's gigabyte but it will be powering a mid range system that pulls like 350w~ that will be upgraded later
  4. I was looking at the newer gigabyte power supplies (The PB500 and P650B) and I was wondering why the 500 watt psu is in tier C but the 650 is tier B? they both look like they were given decent reviews when I checked the sources. Could someone elaborate? Thanks
  5. looks like it actually doesn't work anymore, unfortunate but I was curious about it anyway so judging by what i've seen about the fsp hydro ge it doesn't seem to be too bad. I'll just buy another one thanks for the help, I might post it on johnnyguru's forums to see if someone else there has something to say
  6. Thanks for the analysis! Given this info, would you say this is decent, good, great, etc? I plan to use this PSU a lot in several builds which is sort of why I took the plunge and opened it up carefully, wanted to see if it was any decent. Also do you have any idea if the slanted components effect anything or is that just manufacturing tolerances
  7. I'm aware of this, but wouldn't something happen only if you touch something?
  8. Hello everyone, I noticed that there are no reviews of the newer GD series on here, so since I bought one recently I decided to open it up since I saw no tamper stickers on them. I'm not an expert at this by any means and this was the first time I opened a power supply, so I apologize for the meh camera quality (was using my phone). I tried taking a decent amount of pictures, I don't have any engineering background so I'm not sure if there was something I should look for. Some of the board seems... slanted? I'm not sure if maybe the fan dropped on this when I took it off, but if anything it shouldn't be enough to move it? Should I be worried? EDIT: Here's a link instead
