  1. Hey guys, so I´ve been wondering a bit. I am from the czech republic and local shops now offer 2 different Mx Master 2S. The original has this code 910-005139, the new 910-005966. My question is... since Logitech doesn´t market any changes I guess it´s just a new batch? Do you think they went over some bugs and stuff? The only reason to buy it is that it has a brand new battery in it and not a 2 year old battery from what I gather. Any thoughts?
  2. I am currently running an MX master 2s and a Logitech K800 keyboard - it´s wireless, quiet and has lit keys. (it´s not mechanical... it´s membrane) I haven´t tried any of the Cherry MX switches and whatnot but I can say that I am very happy with my purchase. Both are working via just one unifying logitech usb.
  3. Hello there, so basically I just received my money back for a faulty MX master 2s (I couldn´t move the cursor - web says it´s because of a stuck thumb button - nothing I wouldn´t be able to fix, but it was still under the warranty). I loved the mouse. I do no productivity work on my pc, only tons of youtube, endless scrolling on 9gag and some shooting in BF4. What I´d love to ask you all is, whether there is any rumour of a new one coming out in the near future. If you have any other suggestions of what you like in this kind of mouse segment I´d be glad to check them out. Until then I guess I will keep on scrolling with my trusty Microsoft Explorer Mouse 1362. Thanks. EDIT: definitely needs to be wireless
  4. So you are telling me that buying a whole new panel is better than replacing the led strip? I meant by willing to spend 100usd as the cost of a good new LED strip that has the same quality as the one installed. I might have a buddy who would go through this with me. But I wonder why I hear from different ppl that getting rid of it (getting rid of the whole unit or the panel) is a better option than to actually replace the strip. Why is that option recommended?
  5. Hey, the panel itself is great. All tests I've done came out excellent plus it doesn't suffer from Backlight bleeding as far as I can tell. I am willing to spend up to 100usd. I am afraid that the authorised ASUS service might charge ridiculous price but it can't hurt to ask. I've seen this video and I don't mind disassembling the monitor but I have no real electricity knowledge all I can do is unplug and plug not soldering stuff.
  6. Hello there, I've recently aquired a used monitor Asus pg279q - it's a 1440p IPS 165Hz G.-Sync monitor. It's almost in a great shape. It's out of warranty but the previous owner agreed to take the monitor back (I had him sign a contract that he would take back the monitor if it had any hidden defects.) Now, the problem that I have is that the first time I plugged it in (2 days ago) after cca 10 minutes only about a 1 third of the screen was lit. I tried playing with the settings both on the monitor and in Windows and changing the resolution actually helped. I guess magic. (maybe the actual refresh of the screen helps when you change the resolution) The monitor continued to work well but then the next day it went dim again. And changing the resolution would only work for like a second when it would light up as it's supposed to and then dim again. I tried it like a dozen times changing resolution and Hz with 1920x1080 setting it right. After 10 minutes I set it back to the full resolution - 2560x1440 144Hz and since then it works just fine with no hiccups. New monitor in my country costs 800usd and I bought this one for 250usd which is an excellent deal in my mind for a working monitor of this caliber. Now what to do? Is it a big technical problem meaning that it's gonna come back and only get worse? Can you help me understand what might cause the problem? Should I simply get rid of it ASAP? Or is it a cheap fix? I have up until next week to return the monitor. For connection I only used DisplayPort. There were no new drivers installed since plugging this monitor in. Everything is the same. I have an EVGA 1060 6GB ssc, Edit: I have received 2 replies. First from a repair shop in my town and the second on another forum. The repair shop - yo dude, the best thing you can do is to get rid of it.If you replace the LED it's never like a new one. the other forum - yo it's an easy fix, just install new LED strip, easy peasy So the question now is... is a generic LED strip as good as factory one? https://www.ebay.com/i/322220587235 Is there a way to get original LED? Thank you
