  1. Custom building a case, keyboard for my first hackintosh build. Have a NAS build and carputer build that I may or may not get to this year, as well. Also need snow tires on my Fiata this winter, going to use that as an excuse to get a nice set of wheels, too.
  2. Is that a regular ITX or thin ITX mobo? Also would be better off with a MXM GPU (may be tricky to source) or integrated graphics (or use external GPU via Thunderbolt), and higher wattage DC-ATX like HDPLEX for power. SFF Network forums would be better place to ask for this, there's higher concentration of SFF builders and boutique case manufacturers there who can advise.
  3. I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them the past few months (switches, cases, PCBs) and haven't had any issues. One shipment even only took three days (not even expedited) which is crazy fast from China to U.S.
  4. 8GB is okay for gaming. Preferably you would want more for "futureproofing", and the integrated graphics of the 2200G will eat up some memory, but most games should behave fine.
  5. Dying PSU, maybe. I don't think most other issues will keep it from powering on.
  6. Set price alerts for parts that are unlikely to see a significant update in a few months (power supply, RAM) with a website/app like camelcamelcamel or PC Part Picker. Wait on the GPU in case Nvidia or AMD release new parts then (and even if it's not a GPU you need, it may push the pricing down). CPU you can get now or also monitor pricing if you aren't waiting for 3950X or Threadripper. Don't think Intel is releasing either it's GPU or any significant desktop CPUs over next few months, and they already dropped CPU prices (finally) on some of their HEDT and other chips.
  7. If you have specific parts in mind, buy those now. The other parts you can wait until Black Friday if you want. I personally hate BF/Cyber Monday, hasn't been worth it to me for years, and usually the high volume on legitimately good sales can mean delays in shipping (and I'm not that patient when it comes to builds :P).
  8. This. If space is an issue, build two ITX/SFF systems. It will still be cheaper and more practical than trying to build a beast system that can handle dual duty.
  9. Also, what are you mainly using it for? Gaming? If so, a 3600, 2x8GB sticks (3200+), and whatever the cheapest X570 is at time of sale would work, although it would help to know what case you have in case it impacts form factor.
  10. I want to make it roughly around same size (~35in x 14in) as my current one, an Aukey XXL. I have picture in mind (design below - don't judge quality, as I'm not a graphic designer and it's not done yet). Has a lot of colors but it's not very high res, but still want it to turn out well. Only need one, maybe two, so can't use any service with a minimum order quantity. Thanks! Design: https://imgur.com/Ptbe8Gy
