  1. the combo unit has a modified firmware where the options are very slim. it doesn't have bridge mode, but it does have an option to configure one device as DMZ. setting the ASUS router as DMZ on the combo unit did the trick. still tough i really want to get rid of it (i'm pretty sure i'm paying rent to my ISP for this crap) i came across this https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1550973-REG/cisco_ata191_3pw_k9_2_port_analog_telephone_adapter.html would that allow me to make phone calls? does it worth the shot? thanks
  2. Hey all. I need some assistance. I have at hime 1 gbps fiber connnection. The fiber connects to the ISP combo unit which I can plug telephone and ethernet. Because the combo unit has a crappy wifi and a standard 4 1 gbps ports. I dont really use it. I plug it to my gtaxe11000 and from it i populate wifi and ethernet. The problem is that the combo unit cause issues with port forwarding and ddns. Therefore i want to get rid of it and use a standard sfp to rj45 converter. My problem is that it doesnt have a support for phone line (rj11). My questions are Is there a converter with rj11? If not. Is there a way to connect my phone to my router? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. Hi, I hope I'm posting in the right place. I started tinkering with my router and started using DDNS. I've set up the port forwarding to my printer IP. This gave me the option to print through the Internet. But there was no security on it whatsoever, and anyone who type my host address could get access. Now i'm trying a different approach, I've set up an IIS server on my Win 10 pro. The Site is up and the windows authentication works great. Now all I need is to add the access to my printer. I've searched all over and I can't find good documentation on it. I've enabled the internet print client and all the IIS options on the windows features. Please I could really use some help here, Thanks
  4. and do they work as they should?
  5. just wasnt expecting for it to be so cheap. I wanted to upgrade my router to ax and it is still bit expensive I figured that upgrading my laptop to ax will cost much more considering the prices of the routers
