  1. Uh, so I've just tried enabling the XMP Profile once again and now the system booted immediately with the proper frequency (3200 Mhz in BIOS and 1600 MHz in HWInfo), so I don't know, maybe RAM and Mobo were in a bad mood yesterday and just didn't feel like it? The only difference is that I enabled the XMP Profile under Advanced Memory Settings instead of Easy Mode, but I don't know how that could be any different. Edit: I've just launched Dying Light, played for about 15 minutes and got a BSOD, so I guess the system won't be stable at 3200 MHz? Any way to fix it?
  2. Actually, there is just one profile called XMP Profile 1 which sets the frequency at 3200 MHz. I can only change the frequency to all the values in the world under Advanced Memory Settings, but I guess it's not the same as using an XMP Profile dedicated to a particular speed. Unless I'm missing something?
  3. Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus z390 PRO (Bios version F9) CPU: Intel Core i7 9700k RAM: Patriot 16GB 3200MHz Viper 4 CL16 (2x8GB) Hi, I've just tried to enable XMP profile 1 to overclock my memory from 2133 MHz to the advertised 3200. However, after hitting save and exit in BIOS, there was just a black screen and the PC restarted three/maybe four times with no error message. After that, the PC booted properly, but upon checking in BIOS, the factory settings were restored as the RAM speed was reverted to 2133 MHz and the XMP Profile was disabled. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Also, how can I check if the PC starts properly with a lower RAM speed, for instance 2666 MHz (which apparently is the highest non-OC value for that CPU)? Do i just enable XMP Profile, change the frequency from auto (3200) to 2666 Mhz and leave the timings and voltage the same as for 3200 MHz frequency - 16-18-18-36 and 1.35V? Best.
  4. It says "minimal load". So I trust there is no issue with power delivery/performance if I just use this one cable which is split into two connectors.
  5. I'm also attaching a pic of rail splittings if anyone is interested.
  6. Hi, So I have a question which is probably very simple, but not so obvious for an amateur. I need to connect the PSU cables to this 8+6 pin graphics card. The PSU has three PCIE cables marked as: VGA1: 2 X 6+2 pin VGA2: 6+2 pin VGA3: 6+2 pin My question is if i can use VGA1 cable which is split into two 6+2 connections or should I use two separate cables?
  7. Hi, So I've just bought a new Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro motherboard. Once I took it out of the box, I noticed two pins/solders (not sure what you call it) are bent in one of the corners on the back of the mobo. Is this something to be concerned about? Attached are two photos.
