So I decided to some of the footage to DNxHD and wouldn't you know.. the damn thing wouldn't finish just like when wanted to generate optimized media....I read some where on the net that if I ran into this error will rendering I would need to throttle back my CPU... and well...it works.. So my CPU is literally too fast for the SSD? (scratches head) @xAcid9 now im going to see if it give me the same timeline issues

I've ran chkdsk on some of the drives and updated davinci resolve and I am getting the same issues

sgtballs we are kindred spirits my friend . The 20270 seems so hassle free . it feels like with the 5700xt I HAVE to learn about overclocking , undervolting fan curves....I just wanted the thing to work! But I guess a little knowledge along the way doesn't hurt. speaking of which , what exact card did you get I got the gigabyte version and what videos would everyone recommend for a newbie look at for understanding overclocking'? I took the steps you said along with making a massive adjustment to my fan curve, it sounds like a server room in here and im scared one of the fans will come ripping through the case . After doing alot of research on my card I figured it might be the card throttling back due to high temps despite amd saying it can handle temps as high as 110c . I ran davinci resolves generate optimized media protocol last night on about 24 clips and not one issue.

I woke up and am running memetest86 after that I will 1.uninstall nahimic 2.check what the idle memory usage is 3.The system is determining what the pagefile config is

I ran DDU and installed, still having issues, oddly enough it generated optimized media after the fresh install perfectly fine when I selected up to 6 videos. Then I did another 6 and another 3 which worked great. After I did it one more time it failed so Im assuming whatever it is has to build up.
