  1. Hello Community, A few days ago I was watching *you*know*who* and all of a sudden got a reboot. Screens black, USB went OFF and after a few seconds it prompted me my BIOS password, as it does on every cold/warm boot. When I did this, it loaded the RAID`s and what not, but stopped at the errors listed in the photo below. I have never seen such errors using any equipment and I don`t know what they mean. Is my RAM going bad? Is it something else on the motherboard I need to address? Would appreciate any suggestions as to why it happened in the first place. It is a repeating problem that has a random character of appearance.
  2. Bioshock definitely. I am a Fallout fan and have been for years and was skeptical about BioShock. But then played through the Infinite. Oh my god, so much wisdom, carried in the game. And the ending. It broke my heart. Then I went on and bough all the BioShock games at once. Now playing the first Remastered edition.
  3. I`ve had this problem several times with my EliteBook 8770w. First it was only when using Insider versions of Windows (fast ring). Then, I installed a stable version and it went away. Several months later gave the 8770w to my grandmother, as her laptop was abruptly cheap and hardly ever started, even after upgrades to SSD and 16G of RAM, and started happening again. I don`t know, always patched my laptop with latest BIOS releases (i think last one is from August this year) , but it never corrected the problem. Took it apart, no visual clues of hardware damage, battery is fine as heck, yet when shutting down, only Windows shows this problem. Even the Hackintosh 10.14 Mojave does shutdown. Perhaps some application bugging around or?
  4. This holiday? Well, I`ll get the "watercooled" heatsinks for my rig, as I`ll probably need them for E5-2697 v2. Or perhaps a RTX 2060 for that matter. I`d love to try water cooled GPU, but this is the bad thing of legacy/OEM stuff. Specifically built and technically no wy to put awesome stuff like water cooling or RGB Still though, can`t buy new hardware (yet).
  5. Good thing I didn`t purchase it. Thanks !
  6. Hello Community, Some time ago I got across a listing for a Xeon Phi card (2nd generation I think). I have a Workstation Z820 with some base model hadrware (Xeon E5-2630 v2 x2) 32GB DDR3 1866 and a Radeon, just for some games and what not. Question is : What benefit and in which applications can I find it, if I choose to get this card and shove it in the case? As per the system documentation, it does indeed support Xeon Phi cards, alongside with Tesla K20c if memory serves me right. I don`t have any industry-specific applications, this is just a desktop for all my things, only specialty is virtualization, but as far as I know, Phi`s don`t support it. If someone is familiar here with these units, please share if it would be useful in my case. Thanks in advance!
  7. Well now, after years of watching this guy, I have finally decided to dig in on the news from the kitchen here.

I`m from Sofia, Bulgaria. Name`s Todor, studied Electronics in High school, didn`t learn much there, but the spark had done it`s job. Working for a cloud company I am not allowed to disclose. Nevertheless, since this is a computer forum, I`ll introduce moi`s system

    HP Workstation Z820 with 2x Xeon E5-2630 v2`s, 32GB PC14900R, RX570 8GB by Saphire and lots of storage.

Enough for me, I`ll step right up to find interesting ideas here.
