  1. The price is UK pounds so in USD its actually $938.28 which is $439.28 over the MSRP price which is just insane and a super tax for a UK customers An alternative would be the ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB TUF GAMING OC Graphics Card costing £750 converting to USD $1005.30 which is $306.3 over the MSRP. Are the prices for these cards likely to drop? My PC still works fine with the current GPU for work but gaming is not smooth at all. My goal is to buy a GPU that I won't have to upgrade for a long time.
  2. Currently looking at a GPU upgrade options and see the card below...the price is just eye watering. I can afford it but I'm struggling to justify it. Is there a better option for 1440P gaming? GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB AORUS MASTER Graphics Card available for £700
  3. Hi @eeeee1 Well I start with lazy until I learn more about this overclocking process. I can't mess with it too much as I need my PC for remote working as well. I'll have to do some more research. Thanks for the information. Regards Eishpal
  4. Hi @eeeee1 As much as I love Anthony...I haven't a clue what he's on about. Let's start with something really simple and set the RAM to the max speed. How would I do that? Would I need to change the stock CPU cooler? Regards Eishpal
  5. Hi All, I took the steps of building my PC...I should have come here first (le sigh). Any way I have build the system and below is my set up. I want to know the safest way to overclock my setup in safest way so that my CPU is working at the best speed possible. Ryzen 5 3600X Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3000 CL15 Memory Samsung 860 Evo 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ROG Strix 750W GOLD GPU will be a 6800XT (If I can actually get one).
  6. Hi GoldenLag, Thanks for the help and info. I will be going with the 6800 XT as I plan to upgrade the CPU in the next year or two so it will be a good pairing for the GPU.
  7. Hi GoldenLag, Forgive me but I have a basic understanding of computer hardware, I don't who or what Focus GX is. Just to be sure, there won't be a problem running a Radeon 6800XT? Even though the minimum PSU is 750W for that card. I was just worried that the RTX 3000 series cards demanded a lot more power. I guess I can pick a different card to work with my rig then upgrade later on. thank you.
  8. Recently built my first gaming PC (on my own) and didn't take into account the power requirements of these new GPU's that were being released. So my question is will what GPU will the 750W PSU support with what I have already got. I have 2 1080P monitors and 1440p monitor for gaming (Gigabyte with amd freesync). I would like to get the new Radeon 6800 XT, the minimum power supply is 750W, but I don't know if that will be enough. 9. Hi @Silentpro Unfortunately my M.2 connection doesn't support NVME only AHCI, could I still use this to run my Windows OS or would this cause problems?
  10. Thanks @Silentprototipe you input has been really helpful. This upgrade should add some more life to my latpop. Thanks again!
  11. That's good to know, I doubt that I will require an SSD with NVME. Last question should I add both drives or just one of them and which one should I add?
  12. Hi @Silentprototipe Unfortunately the laptop only supports the SSD's that I have listed. Forgive me but what is significance does an SSD with NVME have on system performance? I don't think I will gaming on this laptop really, I just need to it function so that I can actually get some work done for mobile app development. Should I consider upgrading my laptop? Thanks again for the speedy reply.
