  1. Made some updates to the build parts. I'm still a bit questionable on: Mobo I'm really just looking at the Tier list at this point. Any pointers would be appreciated to get the most out of the 3900X. Case seems a bit steep, it looks pretty neat, but I'm not sure if I need it. I do like the tempered glass though. 2. Thanks for the input! Yea OC isn't something I plan to be doing particularly often. I've really never seen a personal need for overclocking. The 3900X is very tempting especially given my non-gaming workloads. What Mobo would you recommend for 3900X? Also what UWs would you recommend? Storage wise, my work machines all use 1TB SSD which really increases my productivity when building projects. Would it be better to just grab a 2TB M2? Also any suggestions for M2? Thanks for the suggestions!
  3. 1. Budget & Location Budget looks like max $4500 USD for everything (display, keyboard, mouse, etc). Since I live in WA, I have to pay 10% tax so I'm not trying to go over $5000 after tax. 2. Aim I'd like this system to be able to handle almost anything I throw at it. Primary use cases will be centered around learning CUDA (looking at that 2080Ti), hobbyist DL/Deep-RL/CV exploration, kaggle, programming and debugging distributed systems (open-source stuff), and gaming. I'd truly love to be able to do something similar to Linus's video on having a single system with MacOS and Windows side by side, but that's not a huge priority. 3. Monitors I'd really like an ultrawide or super ultrawide monitor. I have dual 24" in my office and would like to have my personal setup better than that. Picture by picture sounds super interesting. 4. Peripherals I need mouse/keyboard, UPS, and monitors. It's been my dream to have Windows and some Unix based system dual booting or colocated. Windows will definitely be for gaming, while Unix is my preferred system to program on. 5. Why are you upgrading? I'm buying a new rig because I'm tired of not having a decent machine at home.
