  1. Around 5 month ago when I said that using an Nvidia GPU for the Hackintosh video was a bit problematic, Anthony told me it's fine because Mojave drivers are coming in anyway. Guess by now they realized that Nvidia Web Drivers aren't really going to be a thing now and decided to just use an AMD Card.
  2. This is probably not the best way but if you run a headless system and ssh into it you can pass the GPU to a VM without a problem (I do it on our server). If you want a normal linux install with a gui you could potentially just kill your display server and then start the KVM with passthrough and when you shut it down, start the display server again (haven't tested that yet, but I see no reason for this to not work).
  3. That's the thing, you won't get any use out of a RTX2080 because there are no mac drivers for the RTX, meaning no acceleration. Which basically makes the card useless and the experience terrible. Well not if you wanna run Mojave. High Sierra works fine with 10x0 cards, but there are no Nvidia drivers for anything above at the moment (and maybe not in the future).
  4. Sorry but isn't Linus overselling the "any hardware" thing? The reason they didn't went with Mojave is because there is no support for the 1070 in it. And looking at the current situation of the Nvidia/Apple thing it seems rather questionable to make a video with this combo. This is just a supercharged hackintosh. You might have more support for stuff but your part choice still matter.
