  1. I have bought a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6800 XT recently. So I went to check out its capabilities immediately. I fired up Cyberpunk 2077 and set Shadows, Reflection and Lighting to max. Used Static FidelityFX CAS 75%. Screen Resolution is 1080p. Before staring the game, I have setup Trixx Boost to 85%. When the game run, I have found that FidelityFX CAS precedes the Trixx Boost because I have compared the image size which is bigger. Does anyone who owns a Sapphire Notro+ 6800 XT encounter the same problem?
  2. According to Tech spot, https://www.techspot.com/review/1972-asus-tuf-gaming-vg27aq/ Different games giving different FPS requires manual adjustment of overdrive. It stops my purchase decision right away! Which brands make things simpler? I mean, as a gamer and consumer, I don't want to be expected as a mediocre monitor expert. This is somehow annoying! As a consumer, all I want is to buy a monitor with the expectations set by the monitor's spec and enjoy the games I play on it.
  3. I was running The Division 2 and GTA V benchmarks. Used MSI Afterburner to monitor each core. Yes, it's slightly under 4.3Ghz all cores the same. Is the "Sync all cores" available somewhere in the BIOS? I have Corsair H100i as a cooling solution for this rig. Idle temp is around 32C. When playing the Division 2, temp is around 48 give or take 4 degrees. I'm not keen in getting it to 5Ghz. But I saw some game benchmarks on YouTube that their 9600K are running at 4.6Ghz all cores. That's why I asked
  4. According to Intel, the 9600K full spec is https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/134896/intel-core-i5-9600k-processor-9m-cache-up-to-4-60-ghz.html Isn't that it can go as high up as 4.6Ghz? My mobo is Asus ROG Strix Z390 F and RAM module is Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz (XMP 2.0). I have already enabled XMP.
  5. Hi folks, Anyone has the experience of using ASUS GPU Tweak II? I have hit a problem and don't know how to get around it even after watching some loosely related YouTube videos. I have bought a nice be Quiet! 120 Silent Wing 3 2200rpm premium fan. It is connected to the ASUS ROG STRIX RX 570 cad Ext Fan header. It works when I manually set it to a specific speed within GPU Tweak II. But say I set up a fan curve for it and save it, Apply, save new as "GAME". All that is done and I hopped into The Division 2, hoping to see the effects, but the saves are not updated. I have to do the Auto Calibrate then save it, Apply, save it as New. Then it works once! After rebooting all changes are gone! Does anybody know how to get around this issue. Is it an issue with the utility?
  6. Are you saying that in the BIOS, I only see the Fan speed. But if I have installed the iCue software and run it, I will actually see the two fans' speeds as well as the pump speed from within the iCue software?
  7. Which manual? The motherboard manual or the AIO manual? Look, I don't understand several things. They just don't make sense to me. I can't see the relationships between the 3-pin cable and the splitter cable which are supposed to connect to the two 4-pin PWM fans. Also, the two fans comes with the package are PWM fans. I don't see a reason not to connect to the motherboard for fan speed control unless you tell me that the 3-pin connector are actually linked in some ways to the two 4 fans via the pump itself! I just don't understand how it works. I thought it would be a very easy plug and play installation, it turns out that it is not. Quite disappointed by Corsair!
  8. I dont understand all of your saying, excuse me, my first build. One paramount thing I need to know: in case I connect to the wrong headers, will any damage be done to the pump. I have wrong connected the two PWM fans to the CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT fan headers. Then I realize there is a splitter from the pump which I dont know how to connect? Do you understand my difficulties. Damn Corsair manual is useless
  9. Didn't know it's so difficult up to this part of the build. My mobo is Asus ROG Strix Z390-F, very good board with many fan headers. Cna anyone tells me how to do the connections. Fans: two Corsair PWM fans each with 4 pin connectors. Pump: 1 3-pin connecotr 1 splitter which splits out 2 4 pin connectors The other is a SATA cable , this one I know how to connect. According to the instruction manual, it confuses me. It says: connect the two 4pin connectors from the 2 PWM fans to the splitter from the pump. Then connect the 3 pin connector to the motherboard. My questions here is : Do I connect the 3 pin connector to the AIO_PUMP on the motherboard or CPU_FAN header? Also if it is connected this way, how does the system control the fan speed? I assume the pump speed is no-PWM control meaning it is running at full power. Can anyone help, urgent!
  10. Appreciate! The reason I am asking is because say if some day I need a maintenance and remove the heat sink, then the top of the M.2 drive will have to be cleaned am I correct? Also I have another question, on the Z390-F, there are 2 sockets for M.2 drive. This one I am using is M.2_2 which is the 2nd socket. I wonder if there are any boot issue associated with the socket chosen. Is socket 1 (i.e. M.2_1) supposed to be the boot socket? If I continue my current installation with the 2nd socket, will the system boot with it? Before I get this cleared up, I better leave the heat sink out for the time being.
  11. You folks are really life savers! Linus's site here is so helpful!! I bought the Sabrent Rocket 1TB, it has metal cover on top of the ICs already. So the thermal pad will melt and merge with the heat shield comes with the M.2 drive when it becomes hot later when I run the system?
  12. I'm a bit frustrated that given the price of this Asus ROG Strix Z390-F motherboard which is not cheap at all, and its manual about the installation of the M.2 drive is so casual. I'm stuck at whether I should remove the plastic cover which is stick to a pad or something (see photo). When I tried to peel the plastic cover, the pad also was being peeled. Now question is : is the whole pad supposed to be removed or just the plastic cover? Urgent, please help!
  13. I obtain a picture of the RX 570 with the fans and heat sink removed. I have afurther question: after putting in the G12, the mofets surrounding the GPU needed to be cooled with heat sink as well? Or just leave them
