  1. The final build with new desk and peripherals -Added MOARH ram 32gb ddr4 3600mhz -256gb m.2 ssd -steel series peripherals -ikea desk
  2. Is there a way to have both speakers and headphones plugged in and be able to switch between the two without having to unplug one from the line out and then insert the other. I've always had to disconnect one to use the other then it usually stays that way for some time before I decide to swap and repeat.
  3. Its amazon certified, so if it dont work, return it. But I've had a great experience with mine. It's nice and bright with absolutely 0 dead pixels on arrival.
  4. How about a more appropriate thread name? You'll get people who know about gpu's to click if it actually said something about graphics cards.
  5. It is indeed a 1440p monitor. It's own description is wrong. It is not HD, it's WQHD.
  6. We're, let me check source again. Sorry everyone.
  7. Thought I would share this. I bought this monitor black Friday for the same price. Beautiful monitor. Exactly as advertised. I would highly recommend. -1440p -27" -144hz -1ms Edit: here is link https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Widescreen-KG271U-Abmiipx-Refurbished/dp/B07CT48BBY/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?keywords=Acer+monitor+Abmiipx&qid=1583788762&sr=8-5
  8. No purely for windows. No other applications if possible.
  9. My aorus elite supports Dual PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 Connectors • PCIe 4.0/3.0 x4 NVMe support • 1X M.2 Thermal Guard
  10. Hey, I want a m.2 ssd drive for Windows only. Obviously, I don't need a big drive? Just want a fast one, recommendation? Thanks.
  11. I've only build one pc myself, but why do people keep spending so much on memory kits? Here's 16gb, ddr4, 3600hz. For 79$ https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jBZzK8/gskill-ripjaws-v-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c16d-16gvkc Then get a 2080 super instead. My 2080 super cost even less than your 2070 super you shared for whatever reason.
  12. Is that a live clock desktop background. I need that.
  13. P.S. I currently have windows on the first 1tb hard drive (That originally came with the computer). I've placed my favorite games on the 500gb SSD. Basically is it worth it? Should I just move windows to the ssd and deal with it?
  14. I recently build my new pc for blackfriday/cybermonday and it's up and running. 3800x, aorus elite, 2080 super, 16gb 3600, etc. The only thing I kept from my old rig was my hard drives. I have 2tb - mechanical hard drive 7200rpm 1tb - mechanical hard drive 7200rpm 500gb - ssd I figure it's time to look into what I should consider upgrading to. I would like a m.2 drive just for my operating system. Cheap, fast and small. I'm looking into the various hard drives 8-10gb 7200rpm, and 256 cache. Any specific brand ya'll would recommend or are they all pretty much the same? 15. So, I've finished building my pc using my mechanical hard drive with Windows on it from my old rig. Works fine. I would like to buy an m.2 ssd drive to have only my windows on it. Is it not possible to just install the ssd, download windows to the new drive, and then select the bios to boot windows from the new drive, or do I still have to do all this nonsense with using a usb stick?
  16. Thanks. Yea, the prices above are not what I paid. I saved a significant amount over sales. So it was an even better deal.
  17. First Thanks to the community for helping a complete novice accomplish something good. I've had ZERO experience building computers before, however, I've been a big computer fan myself, so at least I've been exposed to what it takes to build one. I'm planning on purchasing a new desk and updating my peripherals eventually, but not right now.
  18. I went ahead with the purchase everyone. I'll keep y'all posted o n how it turns out.
  19. It looks like they have a 30 day return policy, with me paying shipping. 30$ each way.
  20. The monitor I found is currently on sale for $220. I would really appreciate some quick input as, if it is the one I want, I want to buy while a discount is available.
  21. Hey, I just purchased my Black Friday / Cyber Monday computer and I'm waiting on the parts now. Super excited. And, as such, going from a RTX 960 on a 1080p 60hz monitor. The coming 2080 super deserves something a little better to show all it's glory on. I'm looking for a monitor, but I have a very long list of requirements. I'm beginning to realize what most people realize: that there's just not that many monitors, like at all, that fit these specifications. 1) 1440p 2) 144hz 3) 1ms 4) 27+" 5) <350$ Despite searching high and low, I can't really find anything. It usually ends up hitting all the requirements but one, like a monitor checking all the boxes but has a 5ms response time. Or a monitor that's extremely dark see: AOC CQ27G1. Despite being Cyber Monday. I found a single monitor. What do you think? https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/UM.HX1AA.A07 The only downside to this monitor is the fact it's a TN panel, but it has a 350brightness, so I'm hopeful? Do ya'll have any recommendations? Should I go with this, or is there something I'm missing and should avoid this monitor?
  22. It's for a gaming pc, cpu will probably be either 3900x or 3700x. Consensus is elite is probably perfect.. Similar question. 3700x is probably more than enough?
  23. I'm planning on a build still and I'm questioning motherboard choice. Budget still ~$1750. Planning on 2080 super. I was planning on aorus elite since it has the capability of supporting everything I want and it's currently $150. I was toying with idea of getting aorus ultra currently priced $199 which is what elite was normally. Looking around I saw the Asus Pro WS x570. Which is $250. Which is what the ultra normally is. The Pro WS is at the S-Tier for motherboards. Is it really worth the money to spend if the elite will run everything I need? Or is there benefit to having an S-tier? The elite is currently D-tier. Ultra is currently A-tier. I haven't ever heard of the WS Pro until now.
