Yeah, 200-pin SODIMM is DDR2, 204-pin SODIMM is DDR3, and 260-pin SODIMM is DDR4. The other one's are standard DIMMs, but yeah for DDR3 for a laptop you need 204-pin

You need 204-pin, the only other filter option that I see is 240, but that's DDR4L RAM anyway. I only see a 204 pin option for DDR3L SODIMM. However, your sticks do appear to run at 1.35V so I would keep an eye out for that.

Yes. The stock cooler can't handle it. You'll probably need to get a Noctua or a decent AIO.

It's slightly better than the MSI B450 boards while also costing less.

its roughly speaking 10% faster on average.

more in some titles, less in others.

the gtx 1660 just makes a lot more sense than the rx 590.

Ok, using input from all you guys and some more research, I managed this build that actually has the 3rd gen Ryzen, for about the same price as those above.
Again, any and all help is appreciated.

Did 3 minor changes. Better PSU, case and cheaper SSD. You can add a 2TB 7200RPM HDD too.

I'm running an MSI b350 Bazooka that I got refurbished for $35.  It has 32 GB of 3600Mhz Ram and an Rx570.
You can run a 3600 on just about anything, with the right BIOS.

The B450 tomahawk would be pretty good. No need for X570 with a 3600.
