  1. Thank you very much for the recommendations it's greatly appreciated
  2. Thank you for the response you've definitely given me something to consider here.
  3. Not at all I'm still quite happy with the way it performs in competitive 1080p games, however, it is starting to show its age in newer titles and an increase in resolution couldn't hurt.
  4. Yeah that's correct which is why I haven't made the jump to a 2160 display. My current cooler is a noctua NH-U12A air cooler sorry I forgot to include that in my system list
  5. Hey everyone, I'm just curious as to whether it would be possible to upgrade my existing pc to be able to play the below games at 4k60 on ultra settings without having to completely rebuild my pc? I'd also like to be able to use raytracing where possible so I'm not opposed to converting to an nvidia graphics card to be able to achieve this, even if it requires the use of DLSS. Budget (including currency): Budget depends on what is possible in terms of upgrading/keeping - AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Witcher 3 wild hunt, resident evil 2 remake, 3 remake, 7 & 8, Cyberpunk 2077, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, the final fantasy franchise (including xiv), CSGO, Modern Warfare 2, Valorant, Sons of The Forest, Fortnite and Blue Protocol (once its released) there are other upcoming AAA games I am interested in but for the sake of simplicity the above is mainly what I'd be playing. I also utilise photoshop for digital drawing. Existing build: cpu: Ryzen 7 3700x Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A Motherboard: Asus Prime x570-p gpu: sapphire rx5700xt nitro+ 8GB ram: LPX 16GB (2 x 8gb) DDR4 3600Mhz SSD: Intel 660p 1TB Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm PSU: corsair TXM gold 550w 80+ Case: Fractal design meshify c atx mid tower current monitor: Gigabyte aorus fi25f 240hz 1080p I'd also like to hear some opinions on the whole 1440p vs 2160p debate. Is the difference between the two resolutions drastically noticeable on a 27" monitor and while sitting roughly a meter away from the screen and whether I should opt to be gearing towards one resolution over the other? Thank you all in advance for any insight you might be able to provide.
  6. Oh neat I had no idea those websites existed but I'll check them out. Thanks for the advice!
  7. Sorry I was using my phone and accidentally commented rather than replying but please refer to what I wrote above
  8. Hi there, thanks for the suggestion I posted a few weeks back for a recommendation on a computer build where I mentioned that the initial intent was for 144hz 1080p but for the most part it appears that it will handle high frame rate 1440p gaming. CPU: Ryzen7 3700x GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX5700XT Motherboard: Asus Prime X570-P Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3600mhz
  9. Hey guys, just like the title suggests I'm in the market for a good 144hz gaming monitor at either 1080p or 1440p. I've been looking at a ton of monitors lately but just not sure what to exactly go for. Ideally I'd like something that has 1ms response times with no ghosting issues, is smaller than 30", isn't curved and doesn't have abysmal colour quality. Thank you in advance for any help :)
  10. ah well that definitely makes it a clear cut winner then haha
  11. Is there a marginal difference between the two models?
  12. Oh wow that looks like a really amazing build thanks for the help!
  13. Hey guys, I apologize in advance if this question has been asked a million times already but I would really appreciate the help you all might be able to provide none the less. I currently have a laptop that I game on and was considering recording, editing my gameplay footage and possibly commentating it as a little side hobby, however, I've come to realisation that the fan on my laptop is by far way too loud to accommodate that (really regret selling my old pc gaming rig to a buddy right about now). As such I was considering building a new PC that I could really get the best bang for my buck but I'm at a loss as to what combination of parts would achieve that. If I were to put a budget on things I would want the overall build to stay below $3000AUD and be capable of Ultra settings on 1080p/144hz gaming, anything above that would be icing on the cake. Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide :)
