  1. What did you do to get X5650 function with MSI X58 Pro-E?Because I have the same board and tried today that very same CPU on it -> boots without post/video.I saw some articles that a lot of people are actually using this CPU in this motherboard (even its not officially supported) and in the other hand others have same issue than I have Motherboard have the latest bios and atm Im running E5620 on it just fine.
  2. UPDATE! After I moved the network adapter into PCIe x16 slot BOOM!, everything started to work automatically. That's very weird since in the manual it points to install it into x1, well whatever now it works.
  3. Double checked that and still the same, no Intel adapters working or listed as unrecognized. I even scanned "new devices" but nothing. Will try that if no other solution isn't found or other slot fix the issue.
  4. Yes totally, its very weird that I have nothing about that in device manager.
  5. Nope, I got this as bulk without original package. So thats why I ended to Intel website to search drivers once I noticed its not detected (even powered on). This is the driver what I tried: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25016/Intel-Network-Adapter-Driver-for-Windows-10 but cannot install since not detecting it.
  6. Yeah, got it. Thats very true, so far my best "hope" is that slot is somehow bad. Hopefully have luck with other one tomorrow.
  7. But they have listed Windows 10 as supported for this spesific card? https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006709/network-and-io/ethernet-products.html?productId=50395&localeCode=us_en
  8. Thanks for fast reply, I will try that tomorrow. But it seems its still getting power since the lights go on if I connect the ethernet cable?
  9. Hey people,I just purchased a brand new PCI-E Gigabit adapter from Intel https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/network-io/ethernet/gigabit-adapters/ct-desktop.htmlBut I'm having a hard time to get it functioning, will I get it? The card is installed to mobo and if I connect ethernet cable to it, it flashes green/orange light which means it's alive, but it won't show up in device manager. I tried to download adapter driver from link I posted but installation keeps saying "the operating system is not supported".The motherboard model is: MSI X58 Pro-E with latest Bios. What should I do? Shouldn't this work with this mobo/Win10?Tried to download driver from this link, got this picture (attached) during installation. Thank you in advance.
  10. Yes I know, that's an option. But why that CPU is not listed in MSI's X58 supported list? Even I can see Youtube videos people using that CPU in the same mobo? I just dont want to get any issues if I end up ordering it. Thanks.
  11. Hello! I just recently put together a rather old but still functioning desktop for 1366 Socket with motherboard of MSI X58 Pro-E and Intel Xeon E5620 2,40Ghz. From the Google and Youtube I found a lot of info that this CPU is capable to "good" overclocking and I really would like to do that, but issue is I cannot control the CPU voltages in this motherboards Bios. Everything else is controllable, except the voltages, which are set to "Auto" and greyed out. Is there some option to check/uncheck to control them or what is this? Mobo has the latest bios 8.F version. I tried to do some research from Google, but no success. Although I see a lot of articles where people overclock this exact CPU with this motherboard and have voltages open to control. All help is much appreciated, thanks!
