  1. Thanks. Good to know. Have not thought of that. Thanks
  2. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have actually found this cable myself, but I'm unsure whether using such a splitter should be avoided or if it just fine to use. I have read different posts were people are very cautious using 3rd party cables/solutions. But maybe this is not related to using a 24-pin splitter?
  3. I want to do a low-power dual system build with one PSU (a NAS and a hypervisor system in my home lab). I have a Seasonic Platinum 550W PSU that I would like to use to power both of my systems. The PSU can deliver more power than needed so my question is if it is possible to purchase a motherboard power cable (24-pin ATX) splitter so I can power both motherboards? If so, links to cables that you have good experiences with would be highly appreciated. I know that Phanteks makes a PSU that can power a dual system setup but the smallest version is a 1000W PSU and it is a bit pricey and I already have a nice high quality PSU. Thanks
  4. As many other people, at the moment, I need to work from my home-office and thus participating in various video conference meetings. I'm tired of bad sound quality and I want to improve my own setup to provide better sound for my meeting participants. My question is - what external microphone can help me improve this without being visible on my webcamera? I'm at the moment looking at buying the GoXLR Mini so I can use a XLR microphone together with my headphones. I would be approx. 60 cm away from the mic. I have been looking at the RØDE Procaster, RØDE PodMic, and the RØDE NT1-a. But what I can see on various videos is that I need to be up close to the microphone to get a decent sound quality - is that right? Are there other better options? Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi, Thanks for the tip for the Aorus display, I will defiantly look at it and read some reviews.
  6. Hi, I need a new monitor and are looking for a monitor that has the following specs: IPS 27" +144Hz I have been researching a bit and came down to the following two displays: ASUS ROG PG279Q ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ To my knowledge there is very little difference between the two. The VG27AQ is newer and has ELMB technology. The PG279Q is older but seems to be a very solid monitor. The price difference between the two is not what makes the difference for me - I just want the best monitor. What would you choose or have I overlooked another monitor? Thanks in advance
  7. Thanks for the replies, and thanks for the link to GamersNexus. I'll be looking into it. But it looks like it is just a minor difference. Once, again - thanks!
  8. Hi, I just to hear if anyone have any experience with performance impact when inverting the layout on the be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 rev. 2 case? I’m new to building computers but just got my Dark Base Pro 900 (rev2) case and are especially wondering if flipping the GPU upside down, when inverting the layout, will decrease the performance. When flipping the GPU fans will face down. Is this something I should consider or does it not matter? Sorry, if this is a trivial question but I can't find any information on this... I would just like to invert the layout but not at the expense of noticeable performance degrease. Thanks in advance for any comments.
  9. Again, thanks for all your comments. It definitely help me a lot! Just to follow up I went with this setup: Case: Be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 rev. 2 PSU: Be quiet! Straight Power 11 750W Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - 3.6 GHz Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4 3600MHz 2x8GB GPU: Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8G OS Drive: Adata XPG SX8200 PRO SSD Thanks
  10. Thanks for all your feedback and suggestions for other parts - it helps a lot! I will defiantly look into a Ryzen setup. I'm currently wondering how much of a benefit I will get, on gaming, by upgrading from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 3700X setup? Which solution would you recommend. Both options are roughly in the same price range: Option 1: Ryzen 5 3600, B450 motherboard and then a RTX 2080 Super Option 2: Ryzen 7 3700X, X570 motherboard and then a RTX 2070 Super And then I just have another question. When looking for a GPU what is the real difference between the different manufactures of a RTX board? They all use the same chips right? So what is the difference aesthetics, build quality or even performance? Once again, I really appreciate your feedback.
  11. Hi, I'm planning to build my first gaming computer. I planning to play CS:GO, Destiny, Red Dead Redemption 2, and other AAA titles. I live in Denmark and have budget on around 1900-2000€ / 2100-2200$. I already have an Asus 27" LED TUF VG27AQ monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset. So my question is - do you think this build is balanced or do you think I should change some of the component? Case: Be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 rev. 2 PSU: Be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 850W (BN253) Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 AORUS ULTRA (rev. 1.0) CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K 3.7GHz CPU Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4 3200MHz 2x8GB GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER WINDFORCE OC 3X 8G OS Drive: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB Thanks for any feedback and suggestion - I'm looking forward to build my very first gaming computer.
