  1. I am not any where near a tech guy but try getting another ram and run in dual channel. Rx 580 is still a decent card in my opinion and may be a new ryzen processor. edit: i didn't notice your motherboard doesn't support ryzen. So, I think the only upgrade you can do according to your motherboard is another ram and run in dual channel. Or get a new board but geting a new board means new processor and ram and that might not be the thing you want to do. Again not a tech guy so wait for others to reply of do some research.
  2. First of all, Sorry If I am posting it in the wrong category, I am new here. Now coming to my problem, I am encountering sudden game freezes with sound of that particular part playing in loop for 4-6 secs. It happens when I play Rise of the tomb raider in dx12 (I have not played any other game with dx12, this is my first). During the freeze the CPU hits 100% and others are normal with ram 89% ( I got 8 gigs of ram). The same settings with dx11 plays well with no lag but dx12 seems to have better visual and more stable frames but those sudden freezes are annoying. Also I noticed that those freezes mostly occurs when the game tries to load new things or save something ( because during the freeze, the loading icon is mostly visible but i am not sure if its related). But sometimes it happens when there is too much going on in few sec. Also something I wanted to know that if its normal for cpu to hit 100% while playing game with gpu 70-80%. (While playing wildlands i noticed this, although there was no freeze in wildlands) My drivers are all up to date and i am running windows 1903 My specs are: i5 9300h 2.4hz GTX 1660ti 6gb 8gb Ram 256gb SSD (No games installed in this pure windows and programme drive) 1tb hdd Laptop model : Lenovo Legion Y540 thanks for the help in advance. the spikes in the graph depicts the freezes.
