  3. Space constraints - the test station I need this monitor on is tying our hands.
  4. Hi Kid, Yes, it is an incredibly niche project I need for work. We're evaluating a video feed visually and the test stand configuration can't accommodate a larger monitor.

  10. Hello, I have a Hitachi 40GB IDE 3.5 inch hard drive that I would like to clone to another (same model) Hitachi. Are there any reputable legacy HDD cloning docks on the market? I'd also need to avoid the use of 3rd party software as this would be performed on a company asset. Hitachi 3.5 inch 40GB Drive - Amazon
  11. I do believe adapters exist for that specific reason - https://www.amazon.com/Fincos-Pin-IDE-Converter-Adapter/dp/B07RNGDTF5 I could be wrong, though, I'm not sure how any of that works.
  12. Hello, I need some help to find an adapter to mate a 40 Pin female ATA cable to an older HDD - Seagate ST32171N - with 50 Pin SCSI input. MATE FROM: MATE TO:
  13. Hello, I am using windows xp and have been having difficulty setting static IP addresses for the network interface adapters. Whenever I set the IP address through the TCP/IP setting and attempt to ping said IP address via the command prompt, the result is always "destination host unreachable". Now, this computer is completely isolated and not meant to connect to any other network (internet, LAN, WAN, etc), so, I am puzzled as to why I can't even get it to ping itself. I've tried a loopback test ping (127.0.0.1) and have used the "identify adapter" utility to verify that the Network adapters are at least able to be recognized, however, beyond that, I've got no other signs of life. What am I doing incorrectly?
  14. Hello, I am looking for a fan that can accept 115-120 VAC input power with a 3 pronged input power cable as well as an integrated switch to turn it off/on independent of my system. Similar to the model in the link below, would prefer the diameter to be 7-10 inches. https://www.grainger.com/product/WIEGMANN-Standard-Round-Axial-Fan-1ZHP9 Thank you, TOOFI

Budget (including currency): $500-$700 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Windows 10, Youtube, web browsing with google chrome Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): n/a Any recommendations for a fast laptop around the $500-$700 USD price range? I'm looking to end my journey as a desktop owner (part of a longer term minimalist plan). Thank you, T
  16. Hello, I have a hard drive (c drive) with a lot of information on it that I don't want to get rid of just yet in my old computer. It is formatted with windows 7 operating system, and I wanted to know if I could attach it to my new rig, as a separate external drive. I'm running windows 10 on the main hard drive in my new computer set up, do both drives need to be windows 10 or can I have win10 on one and win7 on the external? Thanks
  17. Hello, Can anybody recommend a quality VGA to HDMI cable? The source is VGA and the output is HDMI to my monitor, this is very important to note, I do not want HDMI to VGA. High preference for an actual cable-style converter over the rectangular monstrosities with pig-tailed HDMI connector attached. Thank you
  18. Hello, As the title implies, I want to know if the MSI Z390-A Pro motherboard supports Windows 7. Their website mentions "Support for Windows 10", but, it does not explicitly state a lack of support for 7. If anybody owns this mobo + win7 combination, please confirm or deny. Thank you.
  19. I misinterpreted your suggestion, my fault. I mentioned the Dell monitor to just bring a little more detail to my configuration, I was more so looking for a solution to my ONNs. Thank you for the suggestions.
  20. Ah, ok, that was an oversight on my end regarding the Magewell card. Thank you for the suggestions, those adapters don't seem too bulky.
  21. My current setup is the two ONN monitors mentioned before, and an old Dell E2014Hc. The two ONN monitors receive HDMI input, however, my computer only has one HDMI output and one VGA. So, as you've already suggested, I purchased a j5 Create USB to HDMI adapter for my second ONN, and used my computer's VGA output for my Dell E2014Hc. I would like to steer away from using adapters, the j5 Create USB-to-HDMI adapter generates a lot of heat, and I feel that it is not a proper long term solution. Since the MSI motherboard does not even have a single HDMI output, that would force me to buy three adapters, VGA to HDMI and DVI-HDMI for my ONN monitors, and perhaps a USB-VGA adapter for my Dell monitor. The thought of having so many adapters hanging off my new rig, to me, defeats the purpose of building a new rig. You are correct, I am not a gamer, so, I do not need the fancy (and expensive) graphics cards. However, the Magewell Quad HDMI PCIe is a whopping $900, which made me reevaluate the necessity of an HDMI pcie if these are the sorts of extravagant prices they charge.
  22. Hello, I have two ONN 21.5 inch monitors that accept VGA and HDMI inputs. ONN 21.5 inch 1920 X 1080 The motherboard I plan to buy, MSI Z390-A Pro, has stock DVI-D and VGA ports MSI Z390 Pro I wanted to know if there is an inexpensive and reliable Dual HDMI PCIe card that I could purchase in order to use the HDMI inputs of my monitors.
