Jordie of the Void's Achievements

  1. No, I use Windows for everything. Both my desktop and laptop run Windows 10 and I'm not planning on moving over to Apple anytime soon. They do have very nice displays, though.
  2. Mainly college work. Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere, After Effects and Autodesk Maya. Other than that, just your regular PC things. Internets and stuff. TBH I hardly ever use this PC for gaming at all, sadly. Don't have too much time for that.
  3. I would much prefer to watch gameplay footage at 60fps, but camera-shot videos do look better to me at 30\24fps. Watching people just sit there and talk at 60fps always felt a little weird to me.
  4. I truly don't. A PC is supposed to be function-focused imho. If I were to put a PC on my desk with lots of sharply contrasting colors, crazy sharp angles and an RGB unicorn lightshow It'd only distract me from what I bought the system to do and cause me a headache. That's why I built a system around the idea that nothing "gamer" or RGB should be included. Bulky Fractal case complete with non-TG side panel, an Asus PRIME mobo (Aura turned off) etc. The only thing illuminated inside my PC is my graphics card and that's just a boring white logo.
  5. I'm starting to push 32, and I work at a book store. It helps me pay for my studies. I study graphic design majoring in video post-production and 3D modeling in Maya.
  6. A month-and-a-half-ago me would agree with you, but then I went 144hz. There's no going back. I do agree about 1080p being enough, though.
  7. Yup. I actually do have a fully RGB-lit keyboard but I mainly use the white backlighting. I turned it off on my mobo completely. Can't stand this unicorn crap, gives me a headache.
  8. I also game way less than I used to. I see a lot of stagnancy in the current AAA market. Everything just seems so... bog standard, tired, stagnant. That's the reason I kind of gave up on the big titles. However, I do wish I could play more games (I'm currently a student). When I actually have the time, I find myself playing indie games. There's just so much originality in that scene with developers putting a lot of effort into the gameplay. Yeeeah so there's less of all that ray tracing scheisse, but I find the expeirnces just that much more fun (especially the whole retro shooter thing going on right now). So try some indies, you might find yourself longing for that WASD thing that much more.
  9. I highly regret selling my Epiphone. It was nothing too fancy, just a standard Les Paul model, but I loved it. Wish I hadn't sold it.
