Yeah monitor is very old. Going to get a high refresh 1440p, shopping around for a good deal right now. Also considering the Ryzen 5800x3d. Seems to be my best option with the x570 mobo.

That looks about average for a 3080Ti at 1080p extreme.

AFAIK the red lights indicate something being wrong with the power delivery.

I also have the strix 3080Ti but have a 1000W PSU and use 3 separate pcie power cables. In the 2 years of using the 3080Ti I had one of these red lights turn on during boot up one day for whatever reason. I don't know why that happened but I figured the cable were the red light was on probably wasn't providing power at boot or something along those lines which caused the red light to turn on. Shutting down and cutting all power reset the light and it never happened again since.

If it happens frequently I would probably use a third separate cable to see if that fixes it.

See how it works.  If it runs everything well, don;t upgraade, just yuse the computer.  You're playing a very expensive game that will lead you to always wanting to spend more for nothing much in return.  If anything, you can OC the 3600 to like 4.7GHz if you are not quite hitting full util on the 3080ti.  I would honestly upgrade your monitor if you're still playing at 1080p, much more worthwhile than a CPU upgrade.

Then more incentive to not upgrade, as more of the processing would go to your stronger GPU. The build is fine, 5800X3D would scratch the itch but definitely not economically sound like @Queen Chrysalis says.

A 3080ti 3600 combo would be pretty great for that.  TBH the 3080ti would be WAY underutilized at 1080p anyway.  The 3600 should be fast enough, but if it's close you can usually OC them to about 4.6 or 4.7.

It won't boost your fps. When boosting frequencies heat goes up more than the fps you'll get. I think 2070Super is a good choice.

30 MHz won't change anything...from my experience you need 150mhz to just start seeing an improvement and we're talking just a couple FPS more. Don't worry about it, your card is also better than Radeon crap, you did the right thing enjoy your games.

Honestly, maybe .5-2 fps? Its not worth the hassle to return in my humble opinion and the 2070SUP will do you just nicely. You could OC it and gain those 30mhz.

I really only went with the X570 because its the latest gen and I wanted to future proof but I've actually considered going down to a B450 to save money. I like the idea of saving money on the mobo and adding the SSD so thanks for that.

I'm thinking once I get the new stuff installed I can sell my old parts for enough to buy an SSD.
