Would change ram to something with better timmings and the NVME is cache less. So would swap that too.

They've done this before. It's not new, it went away a bit after edge got released if I can remember properly.

Npiet1 got a reaction from sub68 in My AIO Liquid temp is at around 30 degrees while under full load, while my CPU is at 75.
That's normal for the 5800x, it's a single die with high tpw. My rig is dual 360mm rads and hits the same temp. My fluid is around the same temp but It's also 30'c here. If you look around on the web it's normal for the 5800x. The cpu just spike in temp instantly when ever it has a load.

Would it be best if the RAM we're identical, sure. However,  the 1600 MHz will run with the 1333 MHz it will just run at 1333 MHz as well.

Would go for a 5600x it's slightly faster and cheaper than the 3800x.
But other than that all good.
I would maybe go for a better SSD but really it's not gonna much a huge difference. Any excess budget would go to a better GPU anyway.

Combo CD/DVD readers like the one the PS2 use two lasers, an infrared one for CDs and a red one for DVDs. It could be that the red laser and/or its pickup circuitry is broken but the infrared laser is working.

Npiet1 got a reaction from SorryBella in Do I need to worry about this?
Probably not, it's just residue of anti-bacterial and anti-corrosive etc. The stuff to help your loop. When I first started, I had an issue with my soft tubing and it constantly leaked on my GPU, Never any issues, took me a while to figure it out too.

Well the CPU is really nice. GPU is outdated but you can still play many games. You might need to upgrade rams something like 32gb. If you want to use premiere pro or after effects. SSD drive is kinda slow. M.2 SSD drive is a better option. Motherboard is very nice with 3.2 USB SUPPORT. So yeah not a bad choice but not the best either.

The right way would be to get a proper big fat receiver. The slightly more rational way would be an HDMI+Audio splitter box.

It's nothing, it's got to "lock" the disk in. So its normal for it to slow down right before it's all the way in. As for 3 it probably has to reset the magnet which holds it in.

id honestly get the 5900x over the 5800x or just get the 5600x. Its an odd price for 8 cores.

You seem to really want ASus parts. is there a  reason why you are overspending an absolute fuckton on that GPU and PSU?

Id reccomend a  different cooler, NHD15 or DR Pro, or an AIO 280/360.

Unless you live where I do, in Rural Aus. They've just build 6 solar farms due to the lack of rainfall.

To test the PSU, just stress test the CPU, ram and gpu all at the same time. Should crash fairly quickly if it's the case, since that's absolutely worst case and no where near a real world situation. Cause I have to agree with the others, I've seen the 3090 crash from anything other than a 1000w PSU. Happens a couple of times in ltt videos

Its not that easy unfortunately, ive seen this a lot, people test with fumark + prime95, (or similar) no crash…
long back and forth, blah, blah, blah… and in the end it was still their power supply lol…

Looks like you just cant simulate certain  things (like "transient power spikes") that way, at least not reliably.

ps: the bolded is exactly the problem, youre creating a lot of load - which the psu can handle no problem, but not certain spikes, which the psu cant handle.

Grab some ferrite rings and put them on the ends of the cable. They are good for reducing interference.

With the rx 6600xt it would be best to upgrade to a ryzen 5 3600x or better or go to a rysen 5 2600, the 3600x would be the better of them though
