  1. I like the build you put, I'm sort of on the edge between AMD and Nvidia. I've always had Nvidia because when I bought the GPU it was the newest at the time. I've also heard bad things about AMD... hotter, high power consumption, bad drivers, bad performance on certain games (like The Witcher 3). So I'm not really sure anymore, I'll have to look into it more.
  2. I thought the 900 series cards supported DX12? Thought that was one of the selling points... Also, this is going to be for gaming at 1080p so the 3.5/4GB issue doesn't matter too much.
  3. Personally, I just trust Nvidia more and there isn't really much of a difference between the 970 and 390 in terms of performance. Also, with the 970 you get all the Nvidia gameworks and other things, and the AMD cards can struggle in some games (such as The Witch 3 in cities where the 970 beats a 390x).
  4. Is there a noticeable difference between the two? Would it be worth the price difference? Also, the software is CPU accelerated.
  5. Yeah, I would but the PC is also going to be used for editing and the i7 should help with that.
  6. This is a $1400 gaming/editing build I put together for a friend. 7. Ok cool thanks for your help, I'll probably just end up buying the combo since I don't really want to wait until the end of September.
  8. Thanks for the help. I've been looking online and I see that there's multiple O2 AMPs/DACs... one from JDS Labs, Mayflower, etc. Are they all the same or is there one that's better?
  9. Didn't exactly answer any of my questions
  10. So I recently got the AKG K7XX's of off Massdrop and they're currently having a drop for the O2 AMP. Would the AMP alone be good enough for the headphones? Or do you need the ODAC combo? I don't really know that much about headphones and AMPs/DACs so I don't really know what the difference between the two is exactly. Here's the link to the drop: https://www1.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-o2-amplifier Thanks for your help
  11. Alright thanks, just rolled back to the 350.12 driver which I think was the last one without problems. I've already beat the witcher 3 so I'm ok with not playing it for a little while Thanks for your help
  12. Thanks for all the replies, so I'm assuming its the new Nvidia drivers but I'm still going to reset my CPU overclock and see if that helps. Also, do you think it would cause any problems if I reset my drivers to an older version? And any idea what was the last driver that didn't have this crashing problem?
  13. So I got a MSI GTX 970 about two months ago and everything has been going perfectly fine until recently. What's happening is the screen will go black for about 1-3s and then it will come back up and continue working perfectly fine. This happens completely randomly... sometimes I'll play a game and nothing will happen and it will work fine with no crashes, other times I'll be browsing a website and it will happen. So I'm honestly not sure what's causing this. I recently updated the drivers a few times that were for the new game released as well as the GTX 980Ti release. I also overclocked my GPU recently, the overclock was completely stable in Unigine Heaven 4.0 and FurMark, but then I ran a game (Witcher 3) and it crashed so I lowered the overclock and it seemed completely stable until this started happening. I then completely reset the GPU so there's no overclock and it keeps happening. I don't think I actually damaged the card because the temps never got above 70-75 degrees and I never saw a single artifact. Games still run perfectly fine and everything else does except for when this happens, it's just sort of annoying as it happens randomly. Also, for some reason when the screen goes black there's no popup saying that Nvidia drivers have crashed, instead there's just a little warning icon in the taskbar in the bottom right corner and when I click on it, it just disappears. I've never had anything like this happen before so I'm really not sure what's going on. Any help would be really appreciated. 15. I have a bell home hub 2000 and I'm trying to port forward and I need to enter a port range... I don't see any way to do this. Anyone know how to enter port ranges? or maybe a way around the built in port forwarding?

  18. So I recently got PIA and its been working perfect up until recently. A few days ago it randomly disconnected me in the middle of playing a game, so I had to close my game and try to reconnect it. I right clicked on the icon and selected "connect" and nothing happened, I tried to connect to a specific server and nothing happened. I had to end the process and restart the program for it to reconnect me. Its been doing this once or twice a day. Not really sure whats going on, can anyone help?
  19. Thank you! It worked perfectly. Chrome is now loading at normal speeds.
  20. Recently Google Chrome has been loading webpages really slowly. My internet is fine and I'm fairly sure I have no virus's on my computer... but for some reason its taking forever to load a webpage. Even trying to load up my history or settings takes a long time to load. If I load something like a YouTube video it takes a while to start then once the page is loaded the video runs fine. I've tried a bunch of different things from clearing my history/cache to re-installing and removing all extensions. Nothing seems to work, anyone have any ideas whats going on?
  21. I have to write a problem definition statement for a small text based game I'm making. I'm really not sure what that even is. The game I'm making is a turn based fight game where your fighting against an enemy and you chose one of three moves (Attack, power attack, or heal) and then whoever dies first loses (obviously). So not exactly sure what my problem would be here? I don't think I'm looking at this correctly... so could someone help me out here?

    Java Help

This doesn't exactly work... it returns the highest amount but it doesn't return which number had that amount. So, if number 6 was the highest with 15 times, it would return 15 instead of 6. I need it to say 6.
