  1. Definitely. I wasn't aware of that one, but before this LG and after my alienware 240 hz I found out that Acer nitro released an updated 240hz panel, which was like the first monitor with the new 240hz panel, asus came after with a new PG costing like triple the money.. I bought that 240 hz and it was very good. Would recommend the brand nowadays
  2. Also I see that you are using a 129 euros (also pound-ish) 60hz monitor. With this pc I would go for a 1440p 144hz monior. I have that too, basically everyone has either 1080p 144hz or 1440p 144hz. Not taking one of these with a beast of a pc like that is throwing away money. Basically with your monitor you can display what you can get with a 500 uk pounds build. Getting a fresh one will set you free. https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-Ultragear-27GL83A-B-27-Inch-Compatible/dp/B07XLDLZPF/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=lg+ultragear+27gl83a&qid=1596822434&sr=8-3 That one is ultimate value. But with a 1080p 144hz you would spend 30% less, so up to your choice. Myself I sold my 1080p 240hz monitor to go with that LG and I couldnt be more satisfied.
  3. Heya! To be honest, how much in a hurry are ya? I think this is the worst time to build a pc. Components should have been released, but aren't because of Covid. That said everything is looking like it will release the coming few months. Then this pc will cost way less, or the new one will be way faster on the same budget. It has been 4 years since Nvidia really launched a lineup. (im not counting RTX because in my eyes it is a failed refresh. I'm still running the 1080ti which I picked up 2 years ago for a bout 450 euros second hand. Upgrading coming season
  4. Yo! Couldnt really find a good category for this so posted in general. I just heard about IPTV and how it can save u tons of money since u dont have to pay for cable. But that you do need to install a vpn on your router and such. Anyone with a good guide to this? Im using the new Xiaomi ax1800 router, u can install a vpn on those, but im not sure how it works if u want it on one output only. And I cant really find a definitive guide. Any users?
  5. Yeah very true, I don't really care about the whole spying thing anyway though. But for Xiaomi, I have a phone, like 5 smart home things, the roborock automatic vacuum and a normal vacuum. Very cool stuff. But one thing that is worrying me is that people claim that a strong wifi signal, or like the wifi 6 5g signals they cause a lot of EMF and which the regulations say should not be harmful, actually is harmful?? What should I think about this?
  6. And this. Xiaomi is a brand I trust the most for everything they make because theyre so big and honestly amazing. But smaller tech brands like Ugreen or Baseus are also perfectly good
  7. I usually don't do that either, but Xiaomi is a VERY reputable brand. And redmi is from xiaomi so fine by me
  8. Hey guys! Which one should I be buying? I cant really seem to find the difference between the two. I just upgraded my provider to 1000mb up 1000mb down. But they dont deliver a new router so I'll have to buy one myself. https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/4001052636749.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.785a6968rjLIRN&algo_pvid=a1c9392e-5825-4f3c-a27d-e66229ffcad9&algo_expid=a1c9392e-5825-4f3c-a27d-e66229ffcad9-0&btsid=0b0a050b15965574565646366ece69&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_ vs https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/4000532976520.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.27007726A1ZR1y&algo_pvid=b1e218b3-25d2-4e37-9698-8834ea6f9199&algo_expid=b1e218b3-25d2-4e37-9698-8834ea6f9199-1&btsid=0b0a050b15965574726916722ece69&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
  9. Lg ultragear 27gl83a Ips 1440p 144hz and the best panel for that price there currently is. Atleast in the Netherlands.
  10. Well I'm going to update this thread with a speedtest soon. Will be fun downloading my 4k 50gb movies which do not take hours anymore
  11. We are going to pay for 1000mb/s up, 1000mb/s down. So I guess the same rule applies there hm, more like 900 mbps
  12. I'll see if I get like over 700 mbs down, if not then im gonna be salty :D. But then first I guess I'll have to attach a small cat 6a to my moms laptop to check if it is even sending over the full 1000?? HOPING my moms laptop has a gigabit connection lol
