ok seems i fixed the thing by swtiching cable. i tried another cat5e and it works! the really strange thing is that the cable that gives me 90 mbps still works for my brother xD. Thank you all.

Hello i just switched from a 100/20 to 1000/300 FTTH ethernet plan, and due to some locaction problems i had to connect the modem to a switch and then i linked my pc to it. When i linked my brother laptop to the switch it reached like 850 mbps but with my desktop it can go only at 90 or something. I immediately thought my motherbaord was not good enough but i checked and my asus h81 gamer with Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V should be able to reach at least 1 gbps. I tried to change some configuration in my ethernet adaptor options but when i set duplex speed to 1gbps full duplex it loses connection. Do you have some suggestions? Thank you for your help.

yeah i would like to upgrade, but the thing is that here in my country, by the end of the year TV Signal will be only on something called DVB T2 so my tv/monitor wont be able to function as a tv anymore. So i was thinking of a new normal tv as a monitor or just get something specific for gaming.

Hello, I will be changing tv/monitor for my pc soon which has a xeon e3 1231 and a 2060 super. Now i think im already bottlenecking the VGA with that old processor, but do you think that going 144hz will make things worse? And what about 1440p ? Thank you!

found on a store on ebay which sells used and restored hardware EDIT found a xeon e3 1231v3 for 90 euros and im likely going to buy that.

for prices, i should specify that im Italy and we got 22% VAT, so the i 7 4771 that i just found at 129 euros seems a fair price.

What if i go with an used i5 4690k or something like that?

Hi everyone, first time posting here on LTT forum. I need an advice regarding updating my PC. Im now using an i5 4440 with 12 gb ram ddr3 at 1666 mhz speed paired with a 1060 gtx 3gb (which i regret buying.) Now, is it worth for me changing CPU,MB and ram? i was thinking to a i5 9400f with a 16gb 2666 ddr4 ram in a b365 chpiset (asrock b365m pro4) . I mostly want to upgrade my pc because i think i won't run neither Modern warfare or cyberpunk at 1080p at medium settings. Thanks for your advices!
