Hello,
I have a local Network Attached Storage device which I have. The drive has, from the time of writing this thread, 1.24TB of used space and 2.33TB of free space.
As you can see, this is a large amount of data on this drive. This is a company drive and are actively looking for backup solutions.
We attempted to use OneDrive and have been paying large amounts for their subscription, however, there were problems. After several months of support tickets and back-to-back phone calls, the final outcome was that the storage was not backing up to OneDrive due to our insufficient disk space on our C drive. Now, the problem is, we will not have 1 or 2TB free on any of our PCs to back the data up because apparently, it sync from C > NAS > OneDrive and from conclusion, I can rule out that this is not a cloud storage solution. We require a solution that the data is, preferably backed up constantly & updated with minimal human intervention (which we initially thought OneDrive was, but it's not). I have tried transferring the data via web browsers to OneDrive, but given the size of data, it just crashed.
So in essence, we need our company data backed up without any synchronization from the C drive. I have tried looking at "OneDrive mappers", but they are rubbish and do not work. I spent an entire day yesterday trying out one product & the transfer stopped at 360GB, upon asking the support representative why this happened, he apologized and informed me that their product was not made for large transfers.
If it helps, the NAS drive make and model is "WDMYCloud".
Thanks guys.
