  1. I’m due for the booster shot also since I got my 2 vaccine shots with Pfizer back in March. Also I work with the public. My workplace was hosting a clinic giving them out but I was busy at the time.
  2. Pepsi came out with their own cream soda and it’s pretty good.
  3. Mu variant already detected within my neighboring county to the north. Seems like we’re just going in circles. When will it transition from a pandemic to a seasonal illness if the death rate is as low as it is (at least in the US)? https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucelee/2021/09/05/new-mu-variant-of-covid-19-coronavirus-los-angeles-county-reports-167-cases/
  4. The vaccinated don’t need to wear them outside but we still have to wear them inside so that actually makes me feel worse. but after recovering with the AC in the classroom I’m fine
  5. We have to wear masks indoors at my uni and after walking around for a bit outside in SoCal weather even I want to rip this face diaper off
  6. Anyone try pluots/plumcots? I like plums and apricots so I wonder what they taste like together as one fruit.
  7. Off tangent but my less favorite fruit to scan at the register is the kiwano melon. Spiky little suckers. Apricots and yellow peaches are my favorites.
  8. Fake vaccine cards are increasingly becoming a thing since more establishments here are requiring customers/clients to be vaccinated before entering their business. https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/coronavirus/mandates-create-booming-black-market-for-fake-vaccination-cards/2690217/?amp
  9. From an anecdotal perspective no changes has happened to me after taking Pfizer back in March.
  10. No wonder my stocks in BioNTech are shooting up into the sky right now.
  11. Covid cases are up in our stores and more employees are turning back to wearing masks even when fully vaccinated. Myself included. I couldn’t find masks in the stores I usually go to so I gave up and just ordered USA-made ones on Amazon. If what I got a few weeks ago was Covid, the Pfizer vaccine and being young helped to reduce it to a mere cold. https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/ucsd-doctor-talks-breakthrough-covid-19-cases-says-vaccine-is-still-best-protection/2679768/
  12. I’ll quote part of it : (Source again) https://www.kron4.com/news/national/cashier-shot-and-killed-in-supermarket-over-stores-mask-policy-sheriff/ I’ll take my chances with a virus I’m vaccinated against than a bullet.
  13. I'm not sure if what I caught was just the common cold or a mild form of the delta variant that's prevalent around here because I'm vaccinated. I'm just glad I retained my sense of smell and taste the whole time and recovered within 6 days just fine. https://fox5sandiego.com/news/coronavirus/san-diego-county-records-new-high-in-daily-covid-19-cases-since-feb-5/ And I ain't telling customers again to mask up even if the CDC requires it. Getting shot over it isn't worth it. https://www.kron4.com/news/national/cashier-shot-and-killed-in-supermarket-over-stores-mask-policy-sheriff/
  14. Covid-19: it’s free real estate. https://nypost.com/2021/07/08/fans-banned-from-tokyo-olympics-as-japan-declares-emergency/ It’s surprising how we beat Japan in one way with the pandemic and that is the US’s vaccine roll out. Only 15% of eligible people in Japan are fully vaccinated.
  15. Southern Californian here. The air has been hot and dry recently so I won't be surprised if we get rolling black outs. I live by a Chaparral region so I hear news of fires more frequently.
  16. CA passed last week how it’s up to the businesses if fully vaccinated workers can be maskless. I chose to go maskless in the self checkout area and when I’m walking in the store. But once I’m at the register I keep a mask on since I’m closer to the person and stuck in one place. And because it’s the honor system that customers are vaccinated I have trust issues with people overall. https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-06-17/california-to-ease-mask-distancing-rules-vaccinated-workers
  17. Getting news documentary type covid videos now that we are reopening about fully tomorrow. A journey it has been.
  18. June 15th can’t some soon enough. It’s going to be a “record” heatwave next week and I don’t fancy wearing something over my face in 100+ F degree heat. Ironic that my city managed to move into the less restrictive yellow tier right before CA is supposed to do away with that system.. https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/california/california-to-officially-align-with-cdc-masking-guidance-as-part-of-june-15-reopening/2566211/
  19. Getting crazy incentives to get the vaccine. Where’s my million dollars Newsom. Yeah I’m never that lucky. https://abcnews.go.com/US/california-award-15-million-10-residents-latest-state/story?id=77948959
  20. We sell take-home Covid test kits now in stores. Over 60% of my city is now fully-vaccinated and it shows since we get about 100 positive cases per day.
  21. It was nice walking along the boardwalk by the beach not wearing my mask. Only put one on when ordering food inside a restaurant. https://www.cnn.com/world/live-news/coronavirus-pandemic-vaccine-updates-05-13-21/index.html Edit: the Biden administration and CDC should make it more clear that you still need to wear masks on private/property businesses that still require them to be worn. Had some vaccinated customers who said they didn’t need to wear masks anymore because of what the President and CDC said.
  22. I just watched that movie from the clip they used too for a nostalgic trip. Was on Amazon prime. Sus.
  23. Reminds me when Jagex started charging monthly for Runemetrics with Runemetrics Pro in RuneScape. I’ll just calculate my xp/hr on the fly.
  24. I hope India gets the help they need. Really depressive stories have bombarded my news feed from them recently. https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/us-covid-19-assistance-en-route-to-new-delhi/article34436031.ece https://www.reuters.com/world/india/indias-coronavirus-infections-cross-18-million-2021-04-29/
