  1. I upgraded the case a good while ago so a corsair slate(?) something like that, and there werent any issues then.
  2. I'm going to try installing my old GTX 970 to see if that crashes as well.
  3. mobo's on a box right now, 2nd brand new motherboard. Thermal paste is some MX-4. slightly unrelated but I've checked thermals and power levels and the crashes dont seem to correlate to any particular state.
  4. I bought a 2nd new motherboard just to confirm the problem and its still happening. The pc is currently on a box right now and it still will randomly restart, most often under heavy load (doom crashes it most consistently) but sometimes it crashes just in chrome.
  5. When I got the first new mobo I did a clean install of windows, purchased a new product key and everything.
  6. Actually what I'm doing right now. I even went as far as buying a 2nd new mobo just to confirm thats the problem and it has the same issues.
  7. So I decided to upgrade my old random OEM motherboard to a new AsRock z270 killer sli board for that overclocking. However now under the pc will randomly restart, no crash, no BSOD, nothing. Here are the current specs I5-6600k (no overclock) Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1070 Asrock fatality z270 (replaced as a troubleshooting step) 16 gigs of corsair vengeance ram 970 evo+ as a boot drive Unirex 480gig ssd as the steam library CX750M PSU (750watt, was replaced as troubleshooting step) Troublshooting steps already taken: Replaced PSU with a new one. (Same sku) Trying a competely different psu Reseating ram Reseating cpu Installing into a completely different mobo Using windows memory test software Updating bios on mobo Updating nvidia drivers Rolling back nvidia drivers At this point I have to think its the GPU but everything was working fine untill i upgraded the mobo so unless something went wrong during the rebuild I really dont know what else to try.
