    I'm just a dude who knows a bit about a lot of things that involves tech. Some things are more than others. I know a decent amount of Audio, A whole load of Videography as well as editing, and just know how to tinker. The only way I learn is to learn how to do it myself, similar to how I learnt Premiere Pro.

    I am cloning almost 8 TB to a new 10TB NAS drive

    Hey all! So I am working on cloning a drive using this sabrent 2 bay hard drive adapter. It has an offline clone option (which I am using at this time), it has been going at it for almost 4 days at the time of writing this. My question is, if I was to turn it off and try using a clone tool off of my pc would it damage the drive that I am trying to clone? Asking because it has loads of really important files from years ago. I don't mind doing a full clean of the new drive and removing any corrupted files if there are any. Its just that I really don't think that a drive that is running off of sata going at the lowest of 100 MB/s is going to take this long. Thanks all!

    I'm building a NAS and, I'd like to know, which raid I should use. I would like to be able to store at least 40 TB, with the rest being left as backup. (80 TB NAS). I'm probably using UNRAID, so, send help, plz?

    I would personally just run the server off of a computer that I don't use as much, or one that is powerful enough to both, run the server and play. My laptop was able to run a game and the server, allocating (I think) 4 GB of ram. We were able to have around 10 people on. And, I only had 4 cores, with 8 threads on an HQ processor.

    I'm planning on that expansion to 8 later on, possibly next year, or just doing it all at once. They were in a 4 pack, and I was using b & h, so, that was what I was thinking of going with. But, you have a much better idea.

    That supermicro and 9100 not f sounds good.

    I should have also mentioned, we're using a micro atx case... the supermicro mobo is nice, but i would like some choices. And, what cpu would you suggest, because we might just use the 9100f in something else?

    Well, right now, I'm thinking of going with an I3-9100F, just bc I have one, but, I'm not sure what mobo to get, but, one with preferably 6 or more sata inputs
