highly likely it's made in house, or made to spec by a contractor.
i'd imagine application names to be along the line of "flight dynamics".
 
as for why they would have made the switch to linux: see above.
when stuff is made in house or to spec, you do whatever is the best for your usecase.

Also, it would be hard deciding on the factors to if a case is good or not. Do you base it on airflow, or ease of building, or looks (which are subjective)?

I'll wager than the vast majority of those preorders are people hoping they can scalp it.  There's no fucking way there's 20k people with $800 to burn on a GPU on launch.

A whole whopping 1-3 percent and people are getting their depends in a knot.

This might be a game changer for the NEXT generation of consoles, considering Bethesda's roadmap (2022+ for Starfield and ??? for TES6) but won't really change much for this one.
