  1. Thanks for all the reply A little bit of story time: My parents have been using crappy old laptops to work for quite some time, yet didn't realise how terrible their laptops actually are in the 2019 era, and insisted not to buy a new one. That's why I wanted to repurpose my own exsisting gaming PC for them as a surprise gift. Budget is tight as I am a broke college student, but looks like building 2 PC is the better option, I will just work extra shifts to buy them new PC then Thank you guys, really awesome community
  2. Fresh in this forum, if I have done anything wrong please let me know. So I wanted to build a single PC for my parent to use simultaneously for typical office work and leisure purposes (e.g. web browsing, movie streaming). I have read some topics regarding this and found that some common solutions to this is to use unraid as Linus has, or with Aster or setting up a virtual machine. To make it simple, my questions are: 1. Which of the above solutions would be the best (or any new suggestion?) 2. Do I need two sets of GPU, RAM and hard disks to accomplish this. 3. Do I need seperate Windows and Office Activation Key on this We are willing to pay a bit for software, but wish to save up so that we don't need to build 2 PCs Thanks
