Auto doesn't post unless I mix memory, they don't have XMP either since they're Mac Pro ecc udimms. My board doesn't even support running the timings as higher than 13-13-13-31 AFAIK. I don't think it will boot at 1600@9-9-9-24 either. If I can't run my X5675 at 180x25(or faster), I don't see the point. I tried lower and higher uncores when tuning in the memory and this setup is the best it will do with perfect stability. https://valid.x86.fr/5sd2a1

I just wanted to put out there that I've never had any luck with memory on X58 and my board does plenty of wacky things to make it worse. At the same time though, I've never had a nice kit rated faster than 1600@9-9-9-24. X58 being one of the first DDR3 platforms makes it really impressive that 2400mhz even works when premium memory at launch was probably like 1333 cas 7.

Nah, the SX8200 Pro doesn't have it but DUET works great. Even with the 5 second press any key memory check it's still faster to boot than my old Intel 535 sata drive. I generally use sleep mode though so I rarely see any of that anyways. I very highly recommend DUET and not paying more for older, used drives that are also smaller.

Please don't link to a private copy of the old client. It is still available at:

Has anyone OC memory higher than 2400C11 on x58? I remember Kingston made a 2666 triple channel back then, pls share if you have them.

Anyway, i just realize g.skill ribjaws has lower tRFC than the sniper one. Both works fine with gultown chip at 2400.

Edit: G.Skill sniper is a lot more compatible with 1366 than ribjaws. Just install the ram, set freq to 2400C11131331 and they're good to go. I had to increase tREFI to 4 to make it stable.

    Well guys!

Validations, Tabulations and calculations are all done, I can now announce that 3,681 people have met or exceeded the minimum requirements for the event!

    Right guys,

    So where have I been?

Well that's hard to explain! The simple description would be illness. Unfortunately some of the medication I need has been in short supply thanks to people stockpiling and that has left me struggling for the last 5/6 days. I should get that medication in the next few days as I have been put on the priority list.

@justpoet luckily it didn't end in an ambulance ride but it was/is close.

    @Macaw2000 Thanks for the offer!

@LFreeman I am as okay as I can be with the current situation.

I am honestly really sorry! It seems like every event something happens on my end, it just never ends!

Thank you everyone for your understanding with this, but as @leadeater pointed out the data has been recorded so there is no one losing out.

And finally yes, today is the last day of the event, I'm just stupid, without checking I changed 00:00 to 23:59 but didn't change the date to cover the day before!

    How are you all doing?

Speaking of SR-2, found one on debauer shelf.

5520, but they allow for OCing which no other 5520 boards do so functionally they're *almost* the same. Some slight differences, but the SR-2 does also use the same PCIe lane setup and placement that the X58 Classified SLI 4-Way does so it blurs the line even more lol.

Basically stupidly large badass board that lets you overclock 2 Xeons.
See above for the SR-2. The SR-X was eeeeh. It has similar funkiness to the SR-2, but dual socket capable Xeons on the 2011 platform are not overclockable AFAIK so it basically flopped.

Hoping someone can help me. What should I expect from this for folding?

Is this even good? Should I spin up more of these? I have 3 more servers identical to this powered off not doing anything at the moment.

Part of the reason why you see reduced clocks is the fact that core22 WUs hit the card harder and make them hotter than core21 WUs, thus causing the clocks to dip under GPUBoost on the GPU.

Is the memory bandwidth maxed out?  If not, I wouldn't worry.

My RTX2080 also seems to clock down from 14000Mhz to 13600Mhz.

Damn then... I have no idea why. If you really want to do folding on cloud servers. Try AWS. Although, they don't give you any free credit unlike Google. I just pay for it and choose the cheapest one with gpu and no problems. I got denied by Google Cloud when I tried to make new account and get a gpu quota increase.

Its an Aorus Waterforce card with a power limit of 150%, +25 on the core and +10% voltage to make sure folding is happy with it.

It is current 13C in my room though
