I’m gonna start making a guide on flashing an rx 5700 with a 5700xt bios, for all us broke bois.
hope to be done by Friday or Saturday.

I'm surprised no one's done it yet TBH.
I don't think I'd buy an AMD card personally, but it'd be great for those that did.
-
Unfortunately if I did that to my reference RX 5700 it might explode. The reference cooler is ideal for my case, but I don't want to run it hotter than it was designed to.
-
@DrMacintosh might make a guide to installing third party coolers later, but I don’t have enough knowledge or experience to feel comfortable making it atm.
-
@DrMacintosh drill some holes in the side panel and mark holes to drill 120mm fan mounts, slap on some noctua industrials and you have yourself a side intake lol.
do something similar to the top of the chassis and you have the new cool thing VERTICAL AIRFLOW!!!

Haha yeah, just the fact they can't seem to sort their drivers out after this many years is kind of sad. I remember having driver issues back when I had a 7970...NVidia is always just more solid.
-
@scuff gang That would defeat the purpose of the case mod. The intent it to look like a Mac.
Drilling holes in it will make it look ugly.

I hope so too, but only time will tell. Hopefully they don't wait too long; it'd be a shame to see them take third place in the race.
