  1. Any ideas left? I reinstalled windows again and disabled driver updates at the start in case thats causing issues, but it also didn't help :(
  2. Ok, i just did that and it still crashes wtf is going on
  3. Hey, so i have a real big and annoying problem.. Specs: -Maximus XI APEX Z390 -2x16GB 4000CL16 (DIMM.2 Slots) -i9 9900k (Corsair AIO) -AMD 6900XT Asus Strix LC -Soundblaster AE-9 Soundcard -1000W BeQuiet! Dark Power Pro 80 Plus Platinum -Samsung 980 Pro 1TB m.2 (Windows 11) -250GB Samsung 860Evo (Other games) -1TB HDD Overclocks? No. Whats happening? PC crashing with black screen (freezing, buzzing sound) When? DOES CRASH when Playing demanding games (Warzone even in Main Menu, Forza Horizon 5, Back 4 Blood, Battlefield 4, Star Wars BFII etc.) DOES CRASH in Benchmarks/Stress Tests (when turning on Resizable Bar) DOES NOT CRASH in Benchmarks/Stress Tests like AVX264, Prime95 Min-Max 12, OCCT all tests, Heaven, 3D Mark, Userbenchmark, Furmark, Memtest64 * Hardware too hot according to GPU-Z, HWINFO, AMD Software? No. What i tried so far: Short: Everthing? Long: -Drivers old, new -Bios old, new -*Stresstested and maxed out power consumption -Different working GPU's (2080TI, Vega 64) -Another working CPU (Also 9900k) -Checking CPU Socket Pins -Both RAM slots in single mode -Another working RAM Kit -Another Power Supply Unit -New Power Supply cables -Different Power Wall Sockets (no adaptors) -Disconnecting Soundcard -Different PCIe slots for GPU -Resetting Bios (Battery) -New m.2 -Reinstallng Windows multiple times on all of my 3 drives -Disconnecting drives to leave only one -Disconnecting monitors to leave only one -Lowering refresh rate -Safe Mode -Disabling all Windows unrelated services -Clean Driver installs (DDU) -Checking all connectors if placed in correctly on the Mainboard (CPU 2x4+6Pin, GPU 3x8Pin, 24Pin etc... small connectors etc..PCIe Slots) -Different power cables -Cleaning PC , tight spots with air -Both bioses on GPU -Validated the games, redownloaded -Changed windows power settings -Pray What i will try next: -Swap Mainboard to a Z370 Asus Prime (DONE, DID NOT HELP) What i secretly want: Throw it out the Window. Conclusion: WTF Any more ideas?
  4. Hey guys, so im looking to buy a used 5700 XT reference model and then watercool it, due to its good pcb. Im searching for a solid hr now, but i cant find anything, that states a difference between the reference Models by AMD itself and the ones with just "msi" or "gigabyte" written on the factory blower cooler. Here's a link: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-R57XT-8GD-B#kf I just want to make sure, that when i buy such a card, it is still 100% Factory AMD Reference. I know that other cards like their gaming oc, change stuff on pcb, coolers, features and so on. But how about the ones where the cooler stays the same? And i just dont want to get a less potent gpu cause of pcb changes. Thanks :)
  5. Hello all, so... i currently have a Z390 Maximus XI Apex for the i9900k. I like overclocking and that Board is awesome for it! At the same time i value good sound at audiophile grade. I play mostly with Headphones, but i like the occasional racing in Project Cars 2. For that i always used the Soundblaster ZxR, because it has Dolby Digital Live and DTS Connect. Which give me Live Rendering of the 5.1 Sound thats happening ingame. Awesome for me! But there are 2 reasons, why i want to stop using a seperate soundcard for my PC. 1. Airflow for my GPU which gets significantly hotter when its sharing space with a Soundcard. 2.The Soundcard is blocking 4Pcie Lanes which leads to the GPU only having 8 Lanes to work with. As far as i know, there are MB's with "DTS: X Ultra" which is essentially just software. But i haven't found any with explicit Dolby Digital Live or DTS Connect declaration. For now i keep my Z390 Board anyways, but it would just interest me if there's any of them, that have one of the codecs. BUT for the future, i might buy a Z490 and if thats the case, are there any with said codecs yet? I looked some up, but maybe i overlooked stuff or its more hidden than i thought. Thanks in advance EDIT: No i don't want to use HDMI
  6. Yea, i've looked at alot of options in terms of resolutions an such, but still.. does scaling take more processing power than just picking your resolution? And what are the visual drawbacks comparing scaled 1440p vs real 1440p for example? My Game looks great with scaling.. i'm sad i don't have another Monitor to compare right now..
  7. Hey Guys, right now i'm looking for a Monitor, and as a reference game i play i take COD: Warzone (others would be League of Legends, Rocketleague, Borderlands 3 and more) My Specs currently allow for 144 Frames in most Games i play at highest or high settings. What i'm looking for: -Very Low input lag -144 Hz Refreshrate -IPS Panel -Good Brightness, but does'nt have to be next level HDR -Low response time ...Now there is one thing that makes this difficult for me to decide: WQHD or ingame scaling option? I play COD Warzone at 1080p but using 100% scaling. This makes the image way clearer and its very noticable. It's almost like 4k (theoretically). But what's the catch? Do i go for another 1080p Monitor just with 144hz and then simply scale up the resolution?(Ingame or with my Virtual Resolution Scaling option on my AMD Software) Or do i go for a 4k Monitor with 144hz and leave the ingame scaling at standard? What are the Downsides of scaling? Do i lose more performance by scaling than by just using sraight up 4k? Is there extra processing power needed for that, that lower my frames or have an impact on any of my monitor buying criteria? TL:DR.. Is it worth spending alot more on a 4k Monitor when i can just use a Full HD one and scale it up with ingame settings to 4k resolution?
  8. omg.. thanks so much, i actually didnt know theres a programm like ddu. It did magic! Everthing is way smoother, even closing and open games/apps ... This was way easier than i thought.. Thanks! If anything happens again i will post it here BIG FAT EDIT: Worked with Borderlands 3 but still doesnt work when playing League
  9. Hello LTT Community! So, out of nowhere a few months ago my computer started behaving weird, when i was playing a game and at the same time tabbing out to do something else (Youtube, etc) . Specifically this happened the first time when playing Borderlands 3 and tabbing out. The game kept running normal, but the video was stuttering reaaally bad. When i had heavy action in the game it even crashed my pc several times!! Now.. i noticed that: Game in Fullscreen -> game and video were running smooth, but actually not perfect. It had small but noticable stutters on the video's end. Game in Windowed/Borderless -> the video got it's crazy lags and stuttering/loading problems as soon as i tabbed into the game. When i tabbed out of the game i could'nt play (obviously :D) but it enabled me to watch the video normally So i was constantly switching between Fullscreen and Borderless depending on my needs, which was hella annoying... Another example: When i play League of Legends, the Client stays open in the background the game is running over it in Borderless. As soon as i get a chat message from any of my friends, the windows logo on the taskbar turns blinking orange (which indicates that the client has stuff to say) and my game starts to framedrop like crazy and its almost unplayable. When i tab out, look at the client and tab into the game again its all back to normal. Now it seems to me like some app/game focusing thing that my pc doesnt wanna multitask as it used to anymore. The everything hardware related is running like 20% max and it still does that. I tried following: -Updated everything u could possibly update (dont tell me to update stuff cause i already did) -Changed resolutions -Changed pcie slots -Tried overclocking, and stock settings, and only xmp -Set the focus in Taskmanager on the specific tasks needed to high and low -Different Mainboard -SSD, HDD dont make a difference -also tried older versions of my gpu software -tested watching 2x 4k videos at the same time on 2 monitors. Was almost impossible. Switched to 360p and it made it barely working. (NOTICE: the 2x video tests werent always the same results. Sometimes its worse, sometimes it works fine) -----> only ONE thing is not properly working out of both just like with the game/video scenario -i tried other stuff to, but i dont even remember haha SPECS: ASUS MAXIMUS XI APEX I9 9900k Vega 64 Sapphire Nitro+ 16 GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB bequiet! 1000W Corsair 360mm AIO pleaso help ^^
  10. Well ok.. funny part is, that i had to put the soundcard in the first x16 slot, cause it wouldnt fit anywhere else, always something in its way, but yea as u said, performance wasnt really affected. Firestrike with soundcard in x4 was 25.746 points and in x16, i had 25,840 points. I guess we could call that inconsitency in 3dmark.. Thanks
  11. Hey Community, i have a Vega 64 Nitro+ and a Maximus XI Apex Mb but one Problem. My Soundcard.. it's a PCIe x4 Soundcard, but when i put that huge GPU in the first x16 Slot it blocks the x4 Slot. So i was wondering if the rule of "16x turns into 2x8x" actually applies when i put the Soundcard in a x16 Slot. I dont want my GPU to perform worse cause it might lose 4 Lanes?? 8 Lanes?? idk.. im pretty picky when it comes to my gpu benchmarks and although going from 16 to 8 is not a big fat fps drop, its still some.. so i want it to be as quick as it would right now, but before i swap them around i wanted to ask first if there is a quick answer from you guys Thanks.
  12. Oh well, i fixed the Pump issue, it was not actually running at full speed, the fans were, but not the pump. As for the iCUE software it doesnt swap profiles correctly when i set the fans to "extreme" and pump to "intensive" , which is the maximum u could do. Setting everything to "intensive" made it swap profiles properly and u could actually hear the pump instantly and see temps reducing at idle by ~6-8°C. As for the general heat problem i have still after this fix. I read alot, and i mean ALOT of Mainboard stuff, which i should have done before putting together my system *me dumb* and i found out, the Z390-P is like the worst u can buy for the 9th Gen. And overpriced at the same time. I'm switching to the Maximus XI Apex like @Jurrunio said. It's VRM's performance is almost up there with a MSI Godlike or the Gigabyte Extreme for a lower price and i'm not using 4 RAM slots anyways, this should get my clocks higher there aswell. Not a fan of the Gene's small Layout. This should put a lot less voltage on my i9 even on baseclocks. Thanks for your advices. :))
  13. Yea i replaced it Taking it out to take it for a spin test should hopefully be my last option, and i cant do it right now anyways cause its 3 AM
  14. Well yea, the pump works, at Idle i forgot to mention i have 35-38°C core temps across all cores, when i turn up the AIO, it looks like it goes down to 33-37 . But i feel like this might also just be the temps fluctuating. But as u said that, im not actually 100% sure it does work, thats for sure. And i dont know how to test it with reliable straight results. Core Voltage is 1.021 or smth, but it beeing on the boost clock, its varying so much.. out of HWiNFO i can read ~1.181V-1.257V.
  15. Hey Community, so.. my i9 9900k likes it really warm. But i would like to find out the exact reason. Ofc, this CPU is known to get hot, but 90-100°C at stock turbo settings in a basic Cinebench R15 run looks a bit wrong to me. I've heard of 65-75°C at stock speed. I want to overclock, but that seems like not doable right now. Setup: Vega 64 Nitro+ , Dark Power Pro 1000W Platinum , Dark Base 900 Case (3 Fans) , Corsair H150i Pro AIO , G.Skill Trident Z RGB 4266Mhz C19 (Running on 3800Mhz MAX with simple overclocking, without XMP) , i9 9900k , ASUS Prime Z390-P MB . -Is there something i'm doing wrong in the BIOS? (I have it on stock settings, so this would be my last thought) -Is the Mainboard just too low speced for the i9 9900k? (Idk why i cheaped out on that btw) ->>>IF YES , would a different one (Maximus Hero XI e.g.) decrease heat on the CPU, or would it just make it more stable?? -Is my CPU just broken/bent like the title mentions? ->>>IF YES , is that fixable for a "beginner" like me? Sidenote: Cranking up Pump and Fan speeds on the AIO and Case Fans, doesnt have an effect. It just ramps up to 90°C+ instantly. Sidenote 2: I checked the Thermal Paste, and renewed it a few months ago. Sidenote 3: I couldn't find anything beeing that extreme in the web. People having Problems with temps at ~1.35V is understandable, but not at stock. Thanks beforehand for the help.
