When I elect to purchase a Key I do it on Ebay for around $3-5 per key.  They are one time use keys, just ensure the seller is legit (I.E. read his reviews) and Ive never had an issue.  If you must buy a product key another way, I actually don't use any other method so I cant assist further (I prefer no tax at all)

If you ambient temps are decent (20c) you could maintain a mild OC on the stock cooler.  

Gaming? No. The higher single core boost is more valuable there, and you can't get that high on an all-core (stock boost is 4.35Ghz, tweaked it can push cores to 4.4-4.5, best all core you can get is usually around 4.2-4.25Ghz). For games you're better off tweaking your RAM and boost. 

For rendering and other stuff that uses 100% of all the cores, or bench runs in Cinebench or similar, an all-core OC is faster. 

Figure out how the CPU performs first, in actual performance, clock speed, and thermals. If the CPU is routinely hitting something like 4.2 GHz in what you normally do, then it's not really worth trying to overclock it because the most I've seen a 2700X hit is 4.3GHz, and an extra 100MHz in the grand scheme of things is basically within a margin of error.

you failed to take into account he wants this for streaming the two extra cores are gonna make a hell of alot of difference the 3600 isnt that great i traded it for a 3800x and my 1700 beat it handlily on cinebench

They're putting it down to people who don't log in, being unable to aggree to new terms and sevices, which sounds hollow as if you're not logging in, you're not using the service!
 
Some services have dormant account deletion policies already and re-using account names isn't new, but this is a bit harsh and raises the question as to whether this is going to become a faster/regular/automatic thing for dormant accounts in the future, rather than one-off culls.

Oh. Oh no. I'll lose that account I can't remember the password...or log in to...or the email that it was attached to..

Very much. I was using a 7600k at 4.2 previously, and the 2700x is vastly superior in newer games and everyday multitasking. Not quite as strong in single-threaded stuff, but in those cases background processes can get pushed to another of the many available threads in the new AMD chip, so there's not an appreciable difference on my end. Much smoother experience too.
 
If you're doing more than just gaming it's a great processor IMO.

I was happy to get mine a few months ago for $229, but $169 is a screaming deal.

That is a very good steal deal for 8c/16t cpu. I would grab it.

I have a cunning plan. Lets recommend people buy 3rd gen so the 2nd gen will stay in stock longer and drop further in price.

2700X is still a great CPU, if it's that much cheaper than the 3600 then it's a no-brainer to me.

Black Friday is not about dropping prices, its getting rid of stock. So get it while it lasts not when its cheapest!!!

I'd buy now.
 
The odds of you saving aren't super high if the prices are already dropping, and the headache that is Black Friday isn't worth dealing with.

This is my thought too. Not to mention, black friday shopping is far more likely for packages to be handled poorly, or missing or late due to the uptick in people ordering stuff.
