  1. System reserved? Task manager disagrees. I have no clue what those other things mean.
  2. Do these numbers make any sense to you though? After Firefox, it's just really small numbers. There's no way this all adds to 70%. Even more telling is the 2nd picture, where the numbers don't match whatsoever. By the way, I have more tabs than processes. Though, I do have a similar amount of extensions as processes. Thanks for the info though. I provided a link to what my RAM is. I have 16GB already. My only reason to replace my current RAM is to get a speed boost. And I bought a dedicated GPU a few months ago.
  3. My CPU is Ryzen 2400G. I wasn't intending on buying that RAM to add on top of my current. I was thinking of replacing my old RAM. I'm not sure if another 8GB is going to help much when it could be something else affecting my PC. My RAM usage was this high and getting worse when I was only using 1 8GB stick, now it's going high again only 8-9 months later. The numbers don't even make sense this time.
  4. I'm currently using 2 sticks of this. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01BIWK9OK/ Now for some reason, my PC is using 70-74% of the RAM currently. The past few days it's been using 50-65%. I dunno what's causing this when it says only less than 6GB is being used in the users tab in the task manager. That's over 5GB less than what the performance tab is telling me. Firefox is somehow using over 4GBs, and I don't understand why it has multiple processes. Now I found this on discount. Was thinking it might be worth it to upgrade. I dunno though. (I hope I get enough reponses to this as this offer ends today) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ballistix-BLS2K8G4D32AESBK-PC4-25600-Single-288-Pin/dp/B07MNJP6RW/
  5. Never mind. Everything is working. Thanks guys.
  6. Still plugging my cables in... Does anyone know if swapping SATA connections causes issues?
  7. So I read in my motherboard manual that for heavy and large graphics cards I need a stand or support. MSI were promoting their overpriced thing, so I did this instead. A copper pipe with blue tack. Will this work?
  8. Is it really that simple? I thought I'd have to do something in the BIOS to disable the 2400G's graphics.
  9. Got my PSU. Now can someone tell me how to install a graphics card and set it up to replace the Ryzen 5 2400G's graphics?
  10. So... I didn't double check the wattage requirement with the Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ and forgot to get a new power supply. Ugh, great, another £66 gone. (looking at this one) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Be-Quiet-Pure-Power-11-500W-Power-Supply-80-Plus-Gold/113340257378 The reason I'm looking at this brand is because I want something quiet, but if people have better suggestions for a cheaper price, go ahead.
  11. What about the first one I linked? The PowerColor Red Dragon?
  12. That is a tad too expensive for my liking at the moment. Can I use Crossfire with my Ryzen 2400G? Is this one good? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PowerColor-AMD-Radeon-RX-580-Red-Dragon-V2-8GB-GPU-Graphics-Card/153706598175 Edit: Forgot to mention, none of these are on the Autodesk list for tested cards. Edit 2: Looked at a couple others. Which one should I go for? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SAPPHIRE-AMD-Radeon-NITRO-RX-580-8gb-Gddr5-LIKE-BRAND-NEW/312827113922 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sapphire-AMD-Radeon-RX-580-8GB-PULSE-Graphics-Card/383244080759
  13. I didn't have enough money last year to buy a dedicated GPU with either of those, so I went with the 2400G.
  14. Oops. Site broke and posted that twice when I was trying to get back in. Yeah, I was just looking at AMD's Crossfire, but as far as I can tell, it looks like single GPU is better than dual: https://lifehacker.com/the-difference-between-nvidia-sli-and-amd-crossfire-1555235577 And I read that some games don't work well with 2.
