  1. Hi, thank you for the help! Unfortunately that didn't work, when I touched the multiplier, the pc stopped booting and I had to reset the bios by cleaning the cmos. I also tried to turn on the voltage to 1.35 and the multiplier to 36. I got the same result.
  2. Hello, I just bought a new Pc. Here are the specs: Mobo: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600 Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V x2 8GB DDR4-3600 I tried to activate the XMP profile but its not doing anything. On windows the ram speed is stuck at 2133. I updated the Bios to the latest version. I also tried to manually put the voltage of the ram at 1.35V but nothing is working. Is there something else I can try? Thank you for the help.
  3. Hello, I have a Lenovo Yoga 730. Its pretty fast but sometimes it gets really hot and loud for no reason. The fans ramp up randomly even tho I only have a few tabs of Firefox open. The biggest problem shows up when I just use the Battery. The laptop while unplugged is really slow, it takes a few seconds uo even open a folder. I usually keep the battery on "Better Battery" mode or "Best performance", never on power saver. Here are the specs: Intel Core i7-8565U 16GB Ram M.2 SSD NNMe 500GB Crucial P1 Windows 10 Home I already changed the thermal paste and formatted the pc a few times. Even if I dont install anything and let the pc update via Windows 10, I still have these issues. The bios and the intel igpu are also updated. Thanks for the help!
  4. Hello, I have a question. I already have 2 4TB drives in mirror, can I add another 4TB for data? And I also have one single 1TB Drive, can I add another one to mirror it without deleting everything? Thanks for the help!
  5. Hello, I want to get new Harddrives for my FreeNAS machine. I found these two offers from the store that I'm planning to buy from: https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/seagate-ironwolf-2x-4tb-set-8tb-35-hard-drives-11729713?supplier=406802 https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/wd-red-2x-4tb-set-256cache-8tb-35-hard-drives-12535213?tagIds=76-535 The price is almost the same, so I'm unsure what to pick. I want to get some drives that I can use for as long as possible. I use the NAS to backup files and for my Plex. Thanks for the help!
  6. Hi everyone, I bought an Asus RP-AC68U, I'm setting everything up but I have a small problem, I don't know which one is the WAN Port. I looked in the documentation but nothing. The Repeater's specs page shows that the device has only 5 Gigabit port. But during the set up I get the option to connect the repeater with a cable. Doesn't say witch one is the right port.
  7. Hello, I have a question, how do I select my SSD as transcoder folder on freenas? My Plex plugin and jails are installed on a ssd on my freenas. I dont know how to select it as my Transcoder temporary directory. Should I write /mnt/ssd/cache or /ssd/cache ? Thank you!
  8. Hello, I got a Razer Blade 13", i7 8565u and a nVidia MX150, while playing games I noticed that the nvidia graphics cards is not fully working. Its kind of working together with the igpu, why is that? I tried some games, like league of legends and I still get same same results, bad frame rate and only half of the usage. I tried to change the nVidia Control Panel from "Preferred graphics processor: auto-select" to "High-performance nvidia processor" but still nothing. I already update the nvidia drivers and put the pc to best performance. Thanks for the help.
  9. Hello, I build a NAS a few weeks ago, so Im still new. I got a weird Error yesterday:CRITICALPool Storage state is ONLINE: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error. An attempt was made to correct the error. Applications are unaffected..I don't really know what's wrong with it, I did a s.m.a.r.t. test on the drives just to see if some of them are broken but I'm not sure what to look for..This is my setup:i5-6500, 8GB RAM DDR4, 3x1TB WD Purple HHD and a M.2 240GB SSD as a cache. This is what I got from the shell:Thanks a lot for the help root@NAGINAS[~]# smartctl -a /dev/ada0smartctl 7.0 2018-12-30 r4883 [FreeBSD 11.3-RELEASE-p6 amd64] (local build)Copyright (C) 2002-18, Bruce Allen, Christian Franke, www.smartmontools.org=== START OF INFORMATION SECTION ===Device Model: WDC WD10PURZ-85U8XY0Serial Number: WD-WCC4J5RNXDC3LU WWN Device Id: 5 0014ee 2b973ca8aFirmware Version: 01.01A01User Capacity: 1,000,204,886,016 bytes [1.00 TB]Sector Sizes: 512 bytes logical, 4096 bytes physicalRotation Rate: 5400 rpmDevice is: Not in smartctl database [for details use: -P showall]ATA Version is: ACS-2 (minor revision not indicated)SATA Version is: SATA 3.0, 6.0 Gb/s (current: 6.0 Gb/s)Local Time is: Thu Mar 12 19:18:10 2020 CETSMART support is: Available - 10. Hello, I have a question: How much RAM do I need for my FreeNAS? I have 3TB of storage, Intel Core i5-6500, 8GB of ram and running everything from a USB Stick. Im also running Pihole and a Plex Server on the same computer. I'm asking because when I look at the dashboard, I see that I never have some Ram to spare. Thanks for the help! Im still new when it comes to Freenas :)
  11. Hi! I already have a Asus Gene viii motherboard, I found a really cheap Intel Xeon Quad Core E3-1245v6 and saw that it's an LGA 1151 cpu. Is it going to work on my motherboard even though its not on the list of supported cpu's? Thanks!
